Well what can I say - what a nice but pretty complex read -
So some thoughts to the process, quite personal ones, not as an expert for this wonderful piece,
more that of a scholar, I guess:
This happens to be one of the reviews or updates, I tend to have a glimpse into, when they appear:
Not of the ones, where the heart knows: that's it, open it, read it - YES !
Rather a nice, but exciting revelation, a step maker in knowing, maybe:
- almost too much for my eyes, a lot for my head, enough for the soul..
As I also am not knowledgeable enough for Haute Horlogerie, I then tend to read a bit, look at the pictures,
Subsequently then start with a paragraph or two, slow begin, typically read to the end maybe, but not always.
- Sometimes I then look for other reviews ( most of yourself, at times from others) for points that might have been covered there.
Most of the time having some of yours & others' thoughts in the back of my head
Then I would come back, on occasions shortly after, sometimes after days or weeks,
when I feel a quiet moment.
Similiar to when open a great armangnac or rare Single Malt..
- Time to enjoy, time to reflect - how nice ..
More importantly for me at least, listening to he comments, when the connaisseurs and 'cognoscenti' make their remarks,
You respond - already the thread is interesting, once it has got a certain length, no not only length but intensity, or
even more, density.
Finally, on moment and occasions, I feel enough time and energy to really "dig into", trying to understand, trying
to also rethink, what elements of timekeeping have been and ARE (?) important to me, to others-
How diverse.. - ( 1 day for the moonphase to adjust after a year, 1/6 of a second, not even a glimpse;
Then the uninterrupted flow of time, even when the other part of time keeping are coming to a temporary halt,
just to be set free later..
- then the notion on the philosophy by LGM changing the position of the main dial, the one you look at more
frequently, to be more accessible - and vice versa for the Chronograph, where its funtions are 'en garde' immediately
How considerate ..
- on a personal , unreachable level, though, I am a bit more - rare for me- for this piece allured to the
(old-fashioned ,yet timeless) YG with the plain and elegant dial color,
although my real emotional appeal would go for the black dialed one, (with those moon elements in blue)
somebody had shown a while ago.
Well, long I realize, hoefully not boring, these dwellings
So how to end : maybe I once have a chance to see one oor even two of these marvels, in real,
maybe when I visit the Boutique in Paris, hopefully not to long away..
Thank you, for the enjoyment of this re-visit, but also making me reflect,
Very Best, hs
