Jaeger Lecoultre Polaris 68 and Longines ( Vintage ) Diver: The pleasure of collecting.
Jun 18, 2014,14:35 PM
All is in the title.
Some ten years ago, I dreamt of getting these 2 watches, 2 not so distant cousins, as they both share a super compressor case, patended a few years before by its Creator, Edwin Piquerez.
They both share this internal diving bezel, too, as well as these typical gridwork crowns.
Funnily, quite at the same moment, Jaeger Lecoultre and Longines decided to re issue these 2 beasts.
A french saying says that appetite comes while eating.
It is somehow true.
While getting this Polaris 1968, I knew I had to find the Longines cousin, which I did one year after owning the Polaris.
Here are the 2 cousins, side by side, in all their beauty:
The pleasure of collecting...
Best,
Nicolas
