No mechanical watch can beat a Diving computer, or a simple Suunto.
So, all the modern and Vintage Diving watches are to avoid, if you think this way.
I disagree qbout titanium grade 5 as being less hard than the SS.
AFAIK, it is really harder.
Referring ot the volume of the DSA, its 44 mm and its thickness aren't more important than on a MC Diving Chrono, and no more important than on certain Vintage Diving watches, as the Vintage Panerais or the Omega Ploprof.
So Big Diving watches are not only a trend but a reflect of the Past, too.
Now, there is a debate about the complications to be used on a Diving watch.
Some shout when they see complications as GMT, Tourbillon and so on on Diving watches.
As for the Alarm, JLC has a certain legitimity on Alarm Diving watches, so I don't see the problem.
If you go further in the complications, people will shout.
If you present a too simple watch, some others will shout, too.
That's in the Human Nature, I think.
Therefore, I think that an Alarm in a Diving Watch is not totally useful, of course, but so romantic, as a mechanical watch is, don't you think?
Best,
Nicolas
