Above - great selections all. I am glad that Dean added EWC (in rubber) to his list. The combination of complications, shock absorber system, the calibre 752 with its vertical clutch, fast strap change feature, water resistance, long 72-hour power reserve and its undeniable hotness factor, all make this, IMHO, the definitive sports chrono in manufacture today. When purchasing, I debated long over Amvox2 v. EWC, but eventually went for the latter given the combination of complications (chrono and date WITH instantaneous world time), easy strap change ability and the extra ruggedness/water resistance. With a full set of leather, rubber and metal straps, you can wear it on any occasion (and anywhere in the world!) No matter which you prefer, in producing the Duometre, EWC and Amvox2, JLC has claimed its place at the top in chrono manufacture. I would be thrilled with any of them.
I do not know how one selects a Reverso (or two or three) for the list -- gosh I can't argue with any of the choices already mentioned. But the Geographique, Perpetual, Tryptique, and that Art Deco in RG all do it for me (and I'll take our moderator's word on his assessment of the Skeleton).
The MMR and Gyro have to be on the list simply because they are so friggin' amazing and arguably the best in breed within their categories. The MMR owners on this site torture me with their posts about this beauty.
I am glad to see Ultra Thin on so many lists. I am waiting to see if JLC launches a somewhat larger diameter version this year -- that would perfect it for me. I am holding off on buying a dressy Patek to see what the new Ultra Thin looks like.
