First of all, I think it is a good promotion and challenge for Jerome. Jerome is a man of challenges, and this new experience to come is a big one.
A good " tremplin " for some higher summits?
So yes, I am happy for him, even if each challenge has its part of risk, intrinsecally.
Now, if you ask me what I am thinking on a JLC lover side, I am sad.
No offense to Mr Riedo, he is a man of products, and I don't doubt that if he has been chosen, it is first of all because of his qualities and merits, but Jerome is Jerome.
A gentleman who took the helm of JLC at a moment where the brand needed to be awakened, and that is what he did, with all his youth, dynamism and energy.
Not all was perfect, but if JLC is what the brand is, today, it is due, in big part, to Jerome.
I allow myself to call Mr Lambert Jerome right now, because I think we became friends, since the first day we met, in Paris, on the 26th of November... 2006, at the JLC Boutique, for a dinner at the Boutique.
So, yes, I am, as a JLC fan, more sad than happy, to say all, and to be honest.
I will miss our passionate discussions about the brand, Jerome.
Actually, I do hope that Mr Riedo will have the same " esprit d'ouverture " and that we'll keep in touch, Jerome.
Best,
Nicolas. This message has been edited by amanico on 2013-05-08 08:02:50
