A summary of all JLC new watches presented this year

Apr 21, 2008,07:03 AM

To make it easier for you, I decided to make this post to sum all the JLC novelties presented this year with a pic per watch and the relative link to it...

You will, while reading and viewing it, see that this year is quite a prolific year for JLC, even quite impressive!

More, I honestly think that, even if some brands presented some nice new watches, like GP, for example, with the Vintage 45 with its gorgeous enamel dial, or PP with its last ( ?) 5070 in platinum, or Parmigiani wqith the Kalpa Hemispheres, JLC this year is the objective winner, not only because of the important diversity of the new watches, but, 1st of all, because of the quality of their new watches.Once again, the Gyro II, or the Mythical Polaris, but also the new Reverso in Rose Gold, and the new MUTs...Not to speak of the Amvox III and so on...

So, " La Grande Maison deserved a whole post to present and sum all the offer, this year...

Enjoy!

First of all, the most important JLC Watch this year, the nicest, and I'm pretty sure this will be THE watch of the year...The Reverso Gyro II:

Then other new watch is the Amvox III, that I find gorgeous with this blend of RG and Black Ceramic.

The Polaris may also be considered as a new watch, even if it's a re edition of a Vintage model...
And we'll have not only one but 3 models!

Now, the Case Ultra Thin...

The Automatic Version can be looked like a new watch, as this model didn't exist at this day, while the 38mm is rather a, evolution of a still existing model, the 34mm diameter case...

The Grande MUT:

The MUT 38mm:

The " Collection 1833 " is as the MUT 38mm, rather a different treatment of yet existing watches:

The MMR in RG:

The Skeleton pc in RG:

The Master Tourbillon in RG:

Now, a series of new watches, the Squadra Lady line....

A new Classic Reverso, in Rose Gold, with a small seconds in a square counter, white dial, guilloché at the center...In a ...GT case....Dimensions:
26 x 42,2 mm, and 9,4 mm thick.
Nice surprise, isn' it?
I'm waiting for the pics, and will post them with a small review of this beauty...
This is just the first Rose Gold GT case Reverso which doen't house complications!

Now, some re interpetations:

- The Master Dual Time, with thinner lugs, slimmer bezel, and a nice dial...It will be presented in a Boutique Edition, very nice in a black or grey dial instead of the silver current SS model.
Pics to come, too.

- The Master Compressor Diving GMT, in 46 mm instead of the 44 of the LE of the year 2007.

- The Re designed Master Compressor GMT.

Here, a pic of the 44mm, but the new will be exactly the same, the only difference is that it will be 2 mm bigger:

- The MMR with Black dial.( Asi's pic )

And, and, and...Some new Atmos...G.KLIMT, M. NEWSON, PAVILLON, and Astronomique....

So, this year, JLC presented not less than 4 new clocks, 5 really new men's watches, and the new Squadra Lady family...
And many re interpetations of yet existing watches...

Of course, we will update and make some in depht review of each of these watches, when they are available.

Prolific, you said?
Tradition, and Innovation, my friends.
Best.

. . . the Reverso Gyro Tourbillon is the heavyweight champion of 2008, in my humble opinion . . . the helical hairspring alone is worth the price of admission. Mesmerized, Art

Great post

Interesting how some watches are still a little mysterious, across the net - like the Master Dual Time, redesigned Compressor GMT (haven't heard of this), the new Reverso GT.

Moses, the other watches were also presented

BUT the lights were put by everybody on the Gyro II, the Polaris, the Amvox III...The new MUT too and the Atmos M.NEWSON... The pieces you quote are also very interesting, and really have to be seen. I will give them justice ASAP. Best. Nicolas

Of Course, Peter
