Jaeger-LeCoultre: And the Amvox is back!

Jaeger-LeCoultre: Tried on one before my Amvox purchase

I agree about the LE version. I tried one on about 3 years ago and was very very tempted. It was just a bit too formal for what I was looking for at the time. Though it would fit perfectly now if I had the money... Thanks for posting the pictures and post. Good memories of a watch hunt.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: Nearly the final update

All JLC are not moving an inch neither through the discussions the AD are having with the Service Centre nor with any discussions I am having with Customer Service. The AD have made a kind gesture which will help significantly but I still would have hoped for something from JLC. I am having one more

Jaeger-LeCoultre: A range of Mechanicals but all are ETA/Swatch based

Scott Thanks for your interest... I have a range of watches, from a 1970s Rado through to a G-Shock. All bar a couple have been bought 2nd hand and I have them serviced when required by an independent. As you say there could be many reasons for the movement 'failing' but it is also the movement in t

Jaeger-LeCoultre: An update from the AD

All Got this back from the AD today (and remember this watch is 30 months old. "JLC are not budging with their assessment that the watch needs a service, they are saying that the oils have dried up in the mechanics and at the end of the day they recommend a service every 3-5 years and the watch is c

Jaeger-LeCoultre: I agree

I agree anything can go wrong and often does - crucial will be the response of JLC to the problem and whether they can offer a compromise. So far, it hasn't been promising.
