.. as a new page in LGM's chronometry archives, I suppose.
- Thank you for this captivating write-up, getting very near to the core
of an almost " mysterious" watch & reference
There are several design properties, which IMO play a sort of double role, being a
precise watch ( but no hacking ?!) , with chronometry abilities, and still a rare bird
,
so that I realize, few have been surfaced at all..
- I also deducted that 1958 was an even more "fruitful"-JLC year,
than maybe anticipated..
As you mentioned the surprisingly short hands, including the second hand's shortness,
might be a pecularity, but I would assume no other hands have surfaced, yet.
Appearance, presence and appeal, for me are quite convincing,
although I'm no YG guy.. - but there appear to be exceptions to the rule, maybe..
- Thank you for sharing these infos and pictures of a really rare bird, it appears..
I have occasionally wondered why JLC , somewhat later, having their 1000 hour Control,
never has quite marketed this feature of "precision in style".
- Likewise, there apparently is no campagne visible, that Chronometry is a virtue of JLC.
It is others, who have stressed that feature of their watches more agressively..
Finally, when I try to look in the future, to see another Chronometer being issued
by LGM, might be a somewhat difficult, but a more than welcomed aim..
Thank you for this enlightment and great write-up,
a pleasure to read and slowly digest..
Have a good beginning of the new week,
Best, hs
