Even better with your live picture. we better see the milky look of the dial.

And the date is not too " intrusive ", too. Still, it would have been much better without date OR with a Grande Date.
Best, my friend.

Ulysse Nardin Classico Manufacture 170th Anniversary.

A smart offer from Ulysse Nardin: An enamel dial in a steel case! Here is the all new Classico Manufacture. Here you have: A 40 mm steel case, which is 9, 60 mm high. That sounds quite promising, in terms of proportions. A manufactured movement, automatic...
Very nice...

... I am with you on the date, though. Especially since it is a very small window with the date dics being deep down. The other flaw is the too short minute hand. But otherwise clearly a beauty ;-) Henrik
What a nice-looking watch.

This is a great idea by UN. I agree with you about the date, but the UN Marines have had a round date window there for what seems like eternity. I guess they wished to be stylistically true. Is there information about water resistance?
Saw this one recently. It's my favorite of the new UN models...

but you hit the nail on the head. You have a beautiful enamel dial then you punch a hole in it for the date. Not only is it unnecessary but it's so small you can't even read the date! (At least I couldn't) The white dial with blue numerals is indeed very ...
Ironic, I stumbled across it yesterday on the UN website
By: MichaelC : May 30th, 2016-09:38
I went there to see if it was finally working correctly. I found this one, and some others I had not yet seen. Like all the comments, the constant inclusion of a date by UN is frustrating to me. This watch is otherwise quite striking. It is a LE of only 1...
It is very appealing, even with the date.
By: MichaelC : May 30th, 2016-09:48
Do you think they spend much time when designing the watch to discuss this detail? I almost get the impression they do not, and it is more of an automatic inclusion. If I saw this watch in person and really loved it, would the small date be a deal breaker...
I really like this

Too bad for all the writing on the dial. But we see that more often.
Much to like here :)

The dial, the hands, the decision to encase it in stainless steel... Glad more brands are going in this direction, making the price point a bit more palatable
A very appealing offer

I agree with your initial assessment from the press photo about the date. The size, steel case with enamel dial are all appealing. I wish at least dates could be integrated more cohesively like with most Lange watches, however it would be interesting to s...
So close to being superb...

UN I suspect is being driven by numbers folk with the decision to have a date. Yes, more folks like a date, but the purity and sanctity of the enamel dial is ruined by it. The UN Cal 320 is un-necessary, what on earth are the designers thinking...does any...
In God's name...

That date!!!! Nooooooooooooooo!!!! Quite a nice watch. What were they thinking. On a special watch like this... guys, guys, guys!! Come on.
Did you order one?
By: HauteWind : July 6th, 2016-14:55
If so, any indication when you will take receipt of it?
Picked up my Classico Manufacture from the AD yesterday...

I requested a low serial # and landed in the low single digits. I'll post some better photos. The enamel fired dial is superb. The date hole doesn't bother me as much after seeing the watch in the flesh but I'd still prefer it not be there. This message h...
