Hello ktowngreg!
By: DRMW : January 29th, 2010-09:49
Hello ktowngreg! The watches pictured are prototypes. Part of what you are seeing is an optical illusion from the camera angle. Please take a look at our PIAGET moderator Daos aka dxboon pics below for another camera angle. So, of the three which one is y...
Very interesting...

Is that moonphase on the new Duometre screen printed? That was fast! Beverly Hills got to show the SIHH pieces almost immediately after the actual SIHH Show! Thanks for the report!
That's how they do things at the JLC Boutique Beverly Hills!

" That was fast! Beverly Hills got to show the SIHH pieces almost immediately after the actual SIHH Show! " Yep, that's why the JLC Boutique Beverly Hills is so awesome! They have a complete selection, unique custom ordered factory OEM straps, and IMO top...
Yep, very cool!

Hello forumadmirer! Thanks for looking. Agree that the Extreme Lab I and II or cool. Which of the new pieces from this year's SIHH JLC did you like most? -MW
Well Nicolas....
By: DRMW : January 29th, 2010-09:56
"So, do what do you think about the watches you saw?" Well Nicolas, with these pieces shown IMO it reflects JLC's exciting innovations and variety as described in your wonderful SIHH reporting. The Extreme Lab II's strap changing and buckle extension func...
LOL, Ming...
By: amanico : January 29th, 2010-11:49
Even after a few hours of presentation and explanations, I'm not sure I understood all the details about this Extrem Lab II... I was just testing you, to see if I was such a bad JLC moderator. Best, Nicolas
LOL! Yes, I would say bad....
By: DRMW : January 29th, 2010-11:55
Nicolas, Bad? I would say you're a bada$$ moderator and I'm sure everyone would agree! And you're right, so many details for the Extreme Lab II! -MW
Wow! Awesome photos Daos!
By: respo : January 29th, 2010-05:59
My thanks to you and Ming for the, as ever, amazing and timely reporting. That BH Boutique seesm to have a very direct pipeline from Le Sentier. So, what did yoiu think of the pieces you saw? That Extreme LAB looks incredible, especially now in your photo...
Overall, I'm quite pleased.
By: dxboon : January 29th, 2010-21:09
I think JLC had a fantastic showing at SIHH this year. They continue to channel their considerable knowledge and creativity in new and interesting ways. I love that they can release a watch like the Extreme Lab 2 in the same breath as something like the M...
It is amazing how certain watches may surprise us
By: respo : January 29th, 2010-21:45
...and stir emotions unexpectedly. Even from seeing just the photos, whereas you have been able to actually handle these watches, I must admit to feeling similarly to you with regard to these three pieces, although perhaps for somewhat different reasons. ...

i really really like the Extreme Lab
By: G99 : January 31st, 2010-11:34
digital chrono display isnt new as Breitling were doing it in 1998-2000 ish, but i still love it. its a much better way of displaying elapsed time. add that to the 24 hour totaliser, GMT plus all the other things the extreme lab must have under the surfac...
I'm not sure about the aftermarket strap
By: dxboon : January 31st, 2010-20:48
Goodness knows with the ease of removing and replacing straps on this model I wouldn't be surprised if JLC and others started offering straps for the Extreme Lab 2. I'm sure we'll be learning even more in these next few months. Cheers, Daos
Hi Davo!
By: dxboon : February 3rd, 2010-22:20
Pretty cool stuff, right?! Thanks for taking a look. Cheers, Daos
Cool photo demo of the strap system.
By: respo : January 29th, 2010-07:09
It does not look like tis strap will work on any other watch but this one. Correct? So, hopefully there will be a few strap/bracelet offerings intended for this Extreme LAB...? The quick strap release mechanism is quite different looking from that offered...
It has been taken from the Extrem Lab...
By: amanico : January 29th, 2010-07:15
I mean, the strap. Pretty cool and comfortable to wear, indeed. In theory, I was a bit skeptic, in real, totally convinced. Best, Nicolas
I think it is designated for this model only...
By: dxboon : January 29th, 2010-20:27
...at the moment, but perhaps we will hear differently as time progresses. I'm sure if there are to be additional straps offered, we will see them at the BH Boutique. They are great about ordering new and festive straps. It has been a busy, busy week. Che...
Thanks, MW!
By: dxboon : January 29th, 2010-20:13
Not as good as yours, but hopefully high on charm. It was nice to hang with the usual suspects, but your presence was missed. Cheers, Daos
That is one cool watch!
By: Allen : January 30th, 2010-11:54
Thanks for the detail pictures of the strap system. I'm glad it's a lot more affordable than the Extreme Lab 1.
Hi, Allen!
By: dxboon : January 30th, 2010-13:09
The watch certainly has a strong presence, and looks both sporty and technical. I hope to see it again soon. Thanks for reading! Cheers, Daos
My pleasure, Quan!
By: dxboon : January 31st, 2010-02:06
Which of the new JLC novelties are you enjoying the most, so far? I very much like the Memovox, although I haven't seen the model I'm most interested in yet (steel version). Cheers, Daos

Daos, frivolity was such the remedy last night.
By: CaliforniaJed : January 29th, 2010-09:03
Frivolity, a glass of wine and amazing pieces from JLC, all shared with friends, proved a great relief after an unpleasant day at the office. Good to see you and our fellow Purists there. Thanks to Seth, Kate and JLC for hosting the evening. Best, Jed
This has been a long week indeed...
By: dxboon : January 29th, 2010-20:16

The crate was pretty dope, as the kids say nowadays!
By: dxboon : January 29th, 2010-21:21
I did however have a momentary internal flashback to that one scene in the movie Seven. I won't ruin it for everyone who hasn't seen the film, but suffice it to say, the phrase, "What's in the box," ran right through my noggin'! I wish you could've been t...
The new buckle system is pretty cool
By: ED209 : January 29th, 2010-18:35
Thanks DRMW and Daos for capturing the event at the JLC BH boutique. That buckle system is pretty cool and innovative. I wonder if JLC will introduce this concept to other watches? Regards, ED-209
It's only a matter of time...
By: dxboon : January 29th, 2010-21:23
...IMO. Obviously, none of us have yet put the piece through its paces in the real world, but the concept seems solid. I'd like to see similar on a smaller watch. Cheers, Daos
It was fun...
By: dxboon : January 29th, 2010-21:25
...and I hope you get to handle the new JLCs in the metal soon, Stephen! Thanks for checking out the post! Cheers, Daos
Great pictures Daos!
By: its.mark.time : January 30th, 2010-18:59
It was a great event and even better getting to meet Daos and a few of the fellow Purists in person. The new Duometre is truly a work of art. Mark
Welcome, Mark!
By: dxboon : January 31st, 2010-05:08
It was fun to meet you! I'm glad we had a chance to talk! So your favorite of the night was the new Duometre? The movement on that watch does get my heart beating! Hope to see you around the forum, and again in person soon! Cheers, Daos
Duometre
By: its.mark.time : February 1st, 2010-15:09
Hi Daos, Yes, the Duometre was clearly my favorite of the night. It was truly a work of art and i love the partial skeleton face. Hope you are well. Mark
