The full black bezel is a classic look but not very interesting. For me the half grey bezel and green GMT hand give a nice bit of subtle interest. I’m sure it will look good in the metal.
All the best,
Jon

Beauty or Disaster?

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this polarizing new release. It’s the only steel watch we got from the five pointed crown and it seems to be loved or hated. I personally believe this was an easy one to predict, as many did. They already had the...
Rolex is the Microsoft of watch brands

I’m going to hate on Rolex here for a minute, so be forewarned Rolex fans…..How many incremental changes can you make to sell basically the same thing again and again. I suppose changing a crown is a bold move in their world.
More like the iPhone.
By: gary_g : April 16th, 2024-22:41
I’ve literally had just about every iteration of the iPhone and the difference between the new models versus the old models is getting smaller and smaller. However, in my opinion, it’s still the best product on the market. And that’s Rolex. Consistently g...

A really "meh" release. Really couldn't care less.
I don't think the release is polarizing, it is the Rolex strategy.

Great looking watch which simply makes sense. The shift to previous metals enabling even higher margins is somewhat of a new direction by Rolex. It makes sense - the market will probably easily absorb the supply at higher price point. AP, PP etc have been...
Well its a Rolex!

So it is either a beauty or otherwise / because of it collectable, and sought after in the future… 🤪😉
How is this a Disaster?
By: Brandon Skinner : April 16th, 2024-17:10
It's a fine, less showy watch than all the soda inspired others. I could care less about Rolex and their choices but I can't help but shake my head when people feel personal "disappointment" when a company (any company) doesn't make what the collector wou...

If someone is intoGMTII’s it’s another option.
By: ZSHSZ : April 16th, 2024-18:48
To me personally it’s indifferent not “disappointment”. Otherwise, business as usual at Rolex, one strong year, two weak years, but I’m sure there’s plenty demand for this model! Now the Platinum 1908, it’s something I wanna see…
I’m ambivalent…

I think the all black bezel with the green hand looked better…this with the BLNR GMT hand may have looked better, much better to me…with some blue writing…but I look at the pics and I’m like…eh…maybe better on person but I won’t be seeking it out…not on m...
It's utterly BRILLIANT...
By: enjoythemusic : April 16th, 2024-20:58
...simply for the fact the Rolex guys can't agree on a nickname for it.

For me it is a disaster, but

I think Rolex doesn’t give a shit about, whatever model of GMT, it will sell. They profit of this before releasing the very expected coke one day when peoole won’t buy as much GMT and buy them on the second hand market. The green one with left crown was r...

If one happens to be in the shop when I walk in, I will get it. It looks too similar to the previous 116710.

Marketing has the power to put you on a leash, influencing your choices. Why comment on an "artificial" photo? I saw it live in Geneva, anonymous modern watch. If you focus on new productions, you will never grow, if you focus on the iconic watches of the...
