As Joe Cocker sang: "With a little help from my Friends"!

FedEx arrived with a much anticipated package. This started almost 10 years ago when I read an article and saw a scan posted by SteveG. It was love at first sight. After decades of Vacheron, Patek then Lange, I knew I was ready to return to my Omega roots, from morning thru night.

Other than a couple of decades of wearing a Nautilus as my everyday “beater”, I wore an Omega since I was 15. As I write this I’m wearing the best everyday watch I ever owned, a 2254 with a non-AC dial, terrific! I wore an 18kt. Omega with a continuous matching bracelet for “dress-up days” until I was 40. Then it was always a Patek plus a few others, but always Patek.

On the “Road to going Broke” I sold most of my collection, but wore an Omega every day and always a Patek for dress. This NOS, 100% complete Omega drove me to sell my last Patek with no regrets.

Like most great watch adventures, this was very time consuming and required the help of a “mid-wife”, or at least that’s what Art said he felt like. Yes our own Dr. No gave me guidance, held my hand, and did whatever he could to help me secure this watch. It asked so many questions, so many scans and required  so many stipulations that I almost lost the seller. The trigger got pulled when the seller added the complete set of, I guess you call them: Boxes and Papers.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy this beauty despite my bad scans. Best to all, Miki

I wouldn't give-up a PP #5296R either...

I had the opportunity to buy an NOS sample of this model last year in March or April but had to pass that chance on to a friend because I could not come up with the necessary fund quickly enough. I hope it brings you much joy every day. Ruckdee

I'll bet we passed on the same watch, at the same time...
