You said all, Chazlin.

You described very well the difference between the RG and the Ti versions.

I would only add that the Ti, with the silicium escapement was even more an extreme watch, technically speaking.

Now that JLC gave up the silicium escapement, the choice between the 2 is a matter of taste, and only a matter of taste.

The Ti is maybe still more appropriate to an extreme use, in extreme conditions, or at least, to the spirit of the watch.

The RG is more original, maybe.

A matter of taste, mainly.

Best,

Nicolas

 By: amanico : September 11th, 2010-01:55
The rumour said that the Titanium version of the Extrem Lab II lost its silicium escapement. I asked for a confirmation, and the Manufacture just gave me the official answer: “During the development process of the Master Compressor Extreme LAB2, we have n...

Thanks Nicolas for the update! Truly unfortunate news as I'll have to reconsider my TiVan vs Rose Gold question all over again...=( Unfortunately I missed the SHIH new watch roadshow this year in my locale so I didn't see the actual watches. What do peopl...

Thank you for the update. I was following this rumor, and I feel more than a small disappointment regarding MJLC's decision to abandon the silicium escapement, but the watch remains a tremendous piece. In all probability, it the ELII had been announced wi...

I think that is very much true...

... underpromis and overdeliver, that is the way to go. In this case, however, JLC have overpromised and underdelivered, which is usually a bad way to go with people who decide to part with tens of thousands of euros to buy something with such a high emot...

Of course...

Of course this would have been much better to see JLC keeping the silicium escapement on the Ti EL II, and of course it is somewhat deceiving, I can't say the contrary, as it is the way I feel. Deceiving, it is, because the Ti EL II is less an EL than we ...

Did....
