Superb post, Jerome

Like you, I was impatiently waiting to see the New Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon in the flesh.

I love a lot the new case, which has elegant proportions, nice lugs, and very good proportions.

The use of some of the technical solutions of the Extrem Lab, although previsible, is an excellent thing, even if only the YG houses them.

As always, I much preferr the platinum version, as I'm not a colored gold guy.

Here, the case back, with the Loupe :

The Watchmaker was here, and we had the possilbility to make some macro shots of the movement ( not finished ):

Spectacular, aren't they?

Then, a macro of the case back, with a nice level of finish of the movement and a pleasant work on the rotor:

The layout of the dial is another interesting detail, on this watch, with this blend of Hobnail and smooth surface, and a clear, symmetrical disposition of the PC informations:

But, to me, all the qualities of this new watch are even more evident, not to say enhanced, by the platinum version, which is a veeeery tempting beast!

It's difficult to put in words, but it is as if this combo adds a subtle touch of modernisn in this awesome and traditionnal dial.

To me, this is a very hot piece.

Once again, the Platinum and the RG version don't use the silicium diamond coated wheel, but they really are beautiful.

Best.

Hi Tim, That's a watch you should put on your wrist someday. As you're a specialist of silicium, are you really expecting these advances to become the norm? Couldn't it be a cheap advance once largely implemented? Cheers Dje

To answer your silicon (silicium) question, this technology

JLC is on a roll, nice to see they are in the business of making a nice watch first, not a trendy toy with expensive parts.

Thanks for the report Jerome
