I kind of agree, but...

AMVOX, THE REVIEW.

 By: amanico : January 22nd, 2008-09:04
Well, we all know now that an Amvox III will be presented at the next SIHH, but we still ignore what it will be and what it will look like. So, for the impatients watchnuts, and I include myself, of course, I make this review of the Amvox family. A lot of...

Great report as always Nicolas !

 By: jeff 325 : January 22nd, 2008-11:14
I love how all the Amvox 's share a common bond with each other ,but are different in their own ways. I really love the design of the Amvox ll , the way the chrono functions are almost hidden out of sight !

Thanks, Jeff 325

I must admit that the Amvox is very attractive and some of the photos that are displayed in your post really highlight how this watch is a delight! Two years ago, I was very close to choose a Stainless Steel version. Last year, I was even closer to go for...

I kind of agree, but...

Amvox is under the radar and just a teeny bit unappreciated IMHO. Looking forward to the next version... Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks, Rob

C'mon, Nicolas! You know that ...

 By: HerrK : January 23rd, 2008-03:35
... a nice review of the AMVOX line is not sufficient to get probation for Magalie! Eagerly awaiting your next argument! Christian P.S.: You mentioned that the SS AMVOX1 was a limited series. That looks erroneous to me! Also I do think that the combinatio...

 By: amanico : January 23rd, 2008-03:44
No, no I wrote " Limited Production" not Limited series...I checked and that how JLC presents the SS Amvox I. As for Magali, you know where I wanna go, I'm sure...But you'll see the 2 part of my plead in a few hours now...LOL Totally agree about what you ...

Sorry for misquoting you, Nicolas!

 By: HerrK : January 23rd, 2008-03:54
Can you tell me the difference between a limited series and a limited production? Does the latter mean that they only produce a certain (undisclosed) number of watches per annum whilst the first means that the total production of that series is limited to...

Yes, Herrk, you got it >>>

 By: amanico : January 23rd, 2008-04:02
If I'm not wrong it's even written on the Case Back of the SS Amvox I. I just don't know how many per year JLC makes. I'll ask and let you informed. Best. Nicolas

"Special Edition" on back of stainless steel Amvox1

 By: Dje : January 23rd, 2008-07:43
Hi Nicolas, One more great line review! I have an Amvox1 on my wrist today and it's still a great pleasure. I can't wait for your next review, a very nice one, and less dangerous! Cheers Dje

Now what does that mean?

 By: HerrK : January 23rd, 2008-08:45
Jerome as I understand you own the regular (limited) production SS one. Does the "Special Edition" refer to the AMVOX series in general then? If so, it should be on the back of the titanium too. But it is not! Christian

Well, Herrk, here's the case back of the Ti Amvox I >>>

 By: amanico : January 23rd, 2008-08:56
Limited series for the Ti against Limited Edition for the SS, which means that the prod is limited per year, that's my guess., for the SS....

Nicolas, as I happen to wear ...

 By: HerrK : January 23rd, 2008-09:19
... mine today, I checked that before posting of course. But the SS reads "Special Edition" and not "Limited Edition" according to Jerome. A special edition in my understanding means that there is something special about that watch. As it is the regular p...

It gave me a better understanding of the union of 2 great brands . Im particularly impressed with the innovative spirit of JLC , the sapphire glass acting as chrono pushers on the amvox II is a wonder ! Thanks George

Great work! I love that watch. nt

Nicolas, Thanks for the report I would like some statistics. Can you let me know the difference in size from the Amvox 1, Amvox2 and the Trubute to Polaris (Steel), in terms of width, diameter, thikness and buckle size. Thx, C

Amvox, another great JLC item

I just hope this watch will not fall out of favour very soon. By the way, I recenty saw some new Rolex (a Submariner and a GMT Master II) in what seems to be in titanium or carbon-liked material (the bracelet is charcoal grey and not at all stainless stee...

Pro Hunter Rolex, maybe?

 By: amanico : November 19th, 2008-13:13
Or the previous owner pvdized it, which is quite current, nowadays... Not a big fan, although... Best! Nicolas

Pro Hunter it is!!

 By: compulsivebuyer : November 19th, 2008-13:44
Tu as raison, c'est le pro hunter de BJSonline! Quelle déception! Merci pour cette info. Juste une petite question, pourquoi tu es le JLC Moderator? Achètes-tu que des JLC?

Non, Thomas

 By: amanico : November 19th, 2008-13:47
But I have a quite serious Collection of JLC Watches, modern and Vintage too... I also own Watches from 13 other brands... But Yes, I really love and respect JLC for what they are and offer... That's why I'm Moderator for JLC. Best. Nicolas

What a great review - I never considered myself as a JLC person until yesterday. I was on my way to pickup a GO Sport Evo GMT, but could not make the final transaction as I found the GO to be too shiny/BLING with all the polished surfaces. Even though the...
