Gorgeous, but... not the same.

In all the history of wristwatches, I have one favorite. Only one. If I hit the lottery, the next day I would buy it.
That watch is the original Gyrotourbillon 1.

Usually, I'm a fan of skeletonized movements, but the only case, the ONLY one in all of the historical movements
of even pocketwatches that I prefer the dial in place where exists a skeletonized version, is in the Gyrotourbillon 1.
I hate these "iced" watches, they're too flashy. Not becoming of a gentleman, and almost fake in appearance with so
many jewels- it's like wearing a cut-glass chendelier on your wrist. And here, while the skeletonization is wonderful,
it's just lacking something. It all belittles the granduer of the original display, that moved like a ballet.

It's lacking that subtle grace I found only with the original. This is for sure a work of art, and I love the reverso #2 edition
of the concept as well, but the original gyrotourbillon in platinum with that grey face was stunning. Absolutely so. I think
the original is as timeless as the reverso design. It just blew me away when I saw it, much like the work of George Daniels,
and Janvier's sympathetiqe clock. I know I will never own one, no matter how long I work, for the rest of my life. And that alone
in this world makes me miserable, utterly so, despite my happiness in everyday life.

Look to the original, anyone, and I ask you if you don't feel the same. To be rich, even if only for a day, I would spend it on the
original gyrotourbillon. And then, it's successor. And wear them simultaneously. I could spend the rest of my life designing a
one-off personal watch, on the level of inspiration of the G1, and it would be a life well spent.
