Camaraderie, sharing the joys of our shared passion...and getting a new watch! All good stuff.
As it happens, I spent yesterday afternoon at an AD with a friend helping him to decide on his first JLC and a first Reverso.
I will share just one pic, if you don't mind:
I will let you know how that turns out...
If I did not have the Polaris seen above, the AMVOX1 in some iteration would surely be on my wrist by now. That is a watch I have thought about for years. It is funny how certain watches just haunt you. It surprises me a little that AMVOX1s are still available new. As Vlad already said, it is a special watch. I would be torn between the bracelet and the strap for the AMVOX1, but in the end I would get both just to have the option always of switching back and forth. Your friend made a good choice indeed. Interesting information you shared about the bracelet adjustments.
Robin, I take it the perpetual is yours, then? It is the only one about which you did not speak. That is a beautiful piece.
Thanks for sharing this very nice experience.
Best,
