Some answers to your ( as always )very valuable input:
This is actually the replica of the 1968 model, not 67, as the 67 comes with applied numbers ( 6, 9, and 12 ), and the Date Window is circled, too...
So, this is the ' 68 Re Edition...
I agree with you about the date window, it would have been better with a date window more on the right part of the dial, but this is not distrubing me a lot...
As for the ' 65 model , yes, it wuould maybe have been, functionally speaking, better, to have luminous dots....
BUT, as we could see on some great pieces from the past, Functionality was not always respected.
One fo the greatest example: The Deep Sea Alarm:
A Diving Watch, without Turning bezel ( !!!!!!!! ), and not systemically coming with luminous hands ( !!!!! again. LOL).
But I can tell you that wearing these 2 Beauties is really a great pleasure!
