from what I can gather, the company was established in 1852 by Paul Brack in Villeret, Switzerland. It then merged, some 60-70 years later with the Dubois-Peseux company, of the Peseux fame for their high precision mouvements. It was sold to Favre Leuba in 1973. In 1993 JLC bought it and sold it to Vendema AG in 2003. I believe that it has a very good pedigree. Anyhow, I love it. What are the dimensions of the case?

Cheers. Francois
