Given the condition that there is no authorized service in your country?
Which means that if anything happen with your watch, be it still in guarantee period or not, you have to send it to other country or straight to Switzerland. Then you have to deal with papers, couriers, insurance, risk of lost/damage, tax problem, etc.
If you have an authorized service , even if they can't repair the watch, they still can help you to send the watch to nearest SC or to Switzerland. And if the watch still in guarantee , they will bear the cost.
I am asking this because I really want a GP, but they don't have dealer or SC anymore in my country. The nearest SC is singapore...but to fly there just to service the watch, is not fun to do, especially in this pandemic condition.
Or I just have to forget it and look for other brands that give me peace of mind
