I have been following the discussion Here a bit.

But now am really wondering if there is a revolution that you can share? Or have I missed the plot?

My new shopping bag is in the end of the production line and ready for test drives.

But from where to find a matching watch? Best, Kari ...

I like Breguet a lot

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-02:06
but I'm looking for something more sporty and something fitting with the colours of the car. Best, Kari

Maybe a Chopard MM or

A GP SF Chrono?

I have an issue with watches having

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-02:26
the ETA movement - I prefer having a manufactured one. GP could be nice but the movement is really small compare with the case and I'm not praising how the date is located in the watch. Best, Kari

AP's Carbon Diver would match the Black/Yellow color theme perfectly.

 By: descartes1 : May 10th, 2016-03:18
But I know you\'ve had your issues with AP (though the Diver has a different movement than your 15202) ...

That has been and is on my list...

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-04:56
Thanks for bringing this up. Best Kari

That would be my #1 choise

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-07:38
without my experiences about AP. I thought the new yellow ROO chrono and already ordered hornback straps with yellow stitching made-to-measurements. But I'm afraid for the third Monday production watch in a row. Best Kari

Hublot is for others.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-07:47
I'm more for those traditional brands. Best, Kari

Sorry, this is unknown to me.

 By: dr.kol : May 12th, 2016-13:21
Best, Kari

I will, thanks [nt]

6000G

 By: xxn : May 10th, 2016-03:30
Slate gray dial, always reminds me of classic car dash boards.

Nice. But Injust wish

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-04:49
it would be made either of steel or platinum. I am not really a "golden boy". Best Kari

Kari this goes well with the California ...

 By: Horology75 : May 10th, 2016-02:34
I enjoyed it ...

That looks stunning, thank you!

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-02:41
I'm just missing all red from inside. Perhaps unfortunately... Best, Kari

Kari is it the California T ?

 By: Horology75 : May 10th, 2016-02:54
Best,

Yes, indeed I suffer.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-05:33
Big Time. Kari

Now that is a fitting combo...Bravo Ovi! [nt]

What do you think about a HUBLOT MP-05 "LA FERRARI" ALL BLACK?

 By: patrickh : May 10th, 2016-03:04
Very impressive Ferrari and Huge congratulations Kari. Cheers, Patrickh

Hi Patrickh, I am, unfortunately,

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-03:06
allergic to Hublot. It's not my kind of brand. Furthermore, all the watches "dedicated" to something like Bentley or whatever, are not my cup of tea. Thanks anyhow. Best, Kari

A fantastic idea!!!

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-04:48
Inside I have some yellow things... Best, Kari

You should also ask Ferrari to provide you some leather parts to create your own dedicated straps

 By: patrickh : May 10th, 2016-05:04
+/- with their "small" Horse print in. Best regards, Patrickh

Something black

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 10th, 2016-03:05
...

The first one is great!

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-04:47
Made by another crazy Finn. Kari

Shouldn't you get one of his pieces?

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 10th, 2016-12:55
Being both from the icy north?

There's a difference:

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-12:59
I have heard that S.Sarpaneva is in love with Koskenkorva (vodka). I'm not. But there's something very Finnish in his watches. Think about the best known Finnish mobile game producer and their #1 product: Angry Birds. Angry Moon, Angry Birds, Angry Finns....

I wouldn't call it angry

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 10th, 2016-13:21
I\'d call it melancholic. Love those moons! And a watch like that in a Ferrari like (soon to be) yours is a killer combo. Don\'t forget that another flying Finn driving the fastest Ferrari is wearing a Sarpaneva!

Is he?

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-13:41
Both of the Finns we are speaking about love Koskenkorva. We used to go to the same bar in Helsinki with Kimi and he was normally drunk like a baboon. A typical Finn... I think the moon in Sarpaneva's watches is not melancholic but Hangover Moon. Best, Ka...

LOL

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 10th, 2016-14:19
Ok, well I\'m hoping to get one anyway.

To get a hangover?

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-14:27
Are you having some Finnish blood? Best, Kari

:-)

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 11th, 2016-02:07
a Sarpaneva

When I have some extra hours in Helsinki,

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-02:27
I will try to book a meeting. At least we speak the same language. Best, Kari

Support the locals! [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 11th, 2016-13:16

For sure [nt]

California & ?

 By: RGS : May 10th, 2016-03:21
Congrats on the car. Perfect! A sporty and black high end watch to go with it? How about something from Richard Mille? My choice is RM035 or RM055 in black. Otherwise, go for something more "classically sporty": Platinum Datograph Up/Down or a 5204P with ...

RM is very unknown to me

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-04:54
ALS Dato would be cool but perhaps it's lacking the elegance of an Italian car. Best Kari

What's that in English?

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-05:28
I'm just a stupid Finn... Kari

Naturally 5370P

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-04:52
would be best because it costs the same as the car. That one I save for my next Ferrari which is already in my dreams. My 5960/1A is reserved for my 911 Targa GTS. Kari

How about an automatic digital?

 By: Semper Fidelis : May 10th, 2016-05:04
...after all, the Ferraris have also come a long way from being strictly mechanical and analog performance machines. Probably produced in even lower built numbers, but with an equally and distinctly different approach to watches as we know them (thanks to...

Hmmmm...

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-05:24
I guess I'm too old and conservative for digital watches. But thanks. Kari

Without knowing you, Dr. Kol, and will all due respect:

 By: Semper Fidelis : May 10th, 2016-05:46
The Ferrari California isn\'t exactly for "old and conservative" either... Your exquisite taste in watches is timeless and if anything, gets only better with age and experience. But of course digital isn\'t for everyone. Don\'t own one either. Yet. Happy ...

I always need to remember

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-07:46
that my wife is 29. She can drive Ferrari and I can slowly follow her with my 911 Targa GTS... Best, Kari

The rims only lead to one conclusion:

 By: kolosstt : May 10th, 2016-05:16
Roger Dubuis Because of the star shape can be found on both. Cheers, Kolosstt

It looks pretty cool

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-07:49
but these co-brandings are not my thing. I wouldn't buy Patek suits, shirts, underwear... Best, Kari

When I see the five-spoke alloy wheels...

 By: iamcalledryan : May 10th, 2016-06:47
...I think Roger Dubuis Excalibur Automatic Skeleton. ...

That looks technical!

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-07:50
Thanks, I will have a closer look at the watch. Best, Kari

It's a fine skeleton

 By: iamcalledryan : May 10th, 2016-08:10
The star bridge is very attractive, and the skeleton gives excellent views of the micro-rotor and it's transmission, and the mainspring which powers a four wheel gear train and a separate motion work. Superb. But for more stealth and simplicity I might al...

Thanks a lot - I will study the watch.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-08:20
I am probably too limited with my selection which is mostly Patek, Rolex, VC, Breguet... Best, Kari

Being Richemont and Geneva Seal..

 By: iamcalledryan : May 10th, 2016-09:20
I would say RD is a good step into other territory - bold yet familiar in quality and execution.

Writing in from California, here's an offbeat choice

 By: cazalea : May 10th, 2016-07:27
The IWC Ingenieur Climate Action with black Kevlar and yellow stitch IWC, not ETA movement, ceramic bezel, dial design like brake calipers grabbing a disc, yellow accents, AND probably would come with some CO2 offset credits... Cheers, Mike aka Cazalea ...

Thanks Mike,

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-07:53
This might be suitable. In my Ferrari there's so much carbon that it nearly makes me sick. At least my bank account did not like that. Best, Kari

I forgot to mention:

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-07:58
By the end of May, I will pick up one of the ideas presented here. The father of the winning proposal will get a brand new Patek Philippe travelling roll for 4 watches. Best, Kari

Ok, but...

 By: iamcalledryan : May 10th, 2016-08:20
...as you have not limited the number of entries I am going to give you a full consultation! Option 4: URWERK UR-105TA

But hey, that's space age!

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-08:21
I am so bloody old that I can hardly operate a chronograph. Best, Kari

LOL

 By: iamcalledryan : May 10th, 2016-08:24
Don't be fooled this is nothing more than the wandering hours that have been around since before the wristwatch - it's just dressed in a modern suit! As for the turbine dampers on the back, I will give you a tutorial when you DO decide to buy...

If you offer tutorial,

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-08:40
it's better that you live in a nice part of US... Best, Kari

That depends on whether you like Big Apples

 By: iamcalledryan : May 10th, 2016-09:14
Happy to oblige if you are in Manhattan any time. There is a particular watch store that has a handful of very apt watches for that car under one roof; including the UR-105 so you can play before you pay.

I love to eat Bib Apple

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-10:23
once every year and normally I take my family there in the autumn. A lovely city - I never get bored with that. Furthermore, I have business with a NYC based company. Hope to see you this year and get some tutoring. Best, Kari

Great, then I only have to wait 3 weeks!

 By: cazalea : May 10th, 2016-09:28
and that gives me time to buy 3 new watches Mike

I don't think you need another watch other than the one you ordered....

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 10th, 2016-09:30
the 5370P with black enamel! That's the matching one I see with this car. Congrats! Rgds Raymond

It will still take some time

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-10:27
before I'll get that. Perhaps in the end of the year, perhaps next spring before Baselworld. I will pick up, like I mentioned, on 25th 3 new Patek in platinum plus one in steel. Additionally, I need to pick up a vintage in May. This is so much, also money...

Something from the Blancpain Evolution line?

 By: vitalsigns : May 10th, 2016-10:02
Not sure if this has already been mentioned... Gorgeous car! Cheers, John

Hi John. I have a soft spot for BP

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-10:30
and I have been looking at their Evolution line. The sad part is that I bought last year a BP chronograph but I am not wearing the watch at all. Even I like it a lot. Best, Kari

the top end of the Evolution line is reserved for Lambos ...

By: COUNT DE MONET : May 10th, 2016-10:50
... but I had a suggestion of the chrono rattrapante flyback big date in mind, too ...

True. I did not realise that.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-11:00
So BP Evolution is out. Or I need to visit Lambo shop. The good thing with Lambo where I live is that it could be used for cleaning the roads from snow in the winter... Best, Kari

You have ordered the matching watch already: Patek 5370 P

By: COUNT DE MONET : May 10th, 2016-11:14
What else should go with a Ferrari? Best Moritz

I get the car so much before the watch that another watch is needed.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-11:28
The coming 5370P is for "my next Ferrari". Now they have a car with 4-wheel drive. Fantastic here. My chooses of cars is quite limited because I need to buy something which can also carry our 2-years old. I proposed my wife today that we would assemble a ...

You don't need a Lambo!

 By: vitalsigns : May 10th, 2016-13:15
I once saw someone driving a Honda Civic with the Jaeger LeCoultre Amvox / Aston Martin DBS transponder. And Ferrari is nicer IMO than Lambo anyhow! Oh well...the Blancpain L-Evolution was the first piece that came to mind... Cheers, John

Lambo do not make family cars anyhow

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-13:31
but Ferrari is always having a model or two where the kid can be thrown to the back seat. Best, Kari

The watch is still open

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-10:39
but the cufflinks arrived today. Nice enamel with five colours. Best, Kari ...

My suggestion.....

 By: Baron - Mr Red : May 10th, 2016-12:13
....Reverso Duetto

That one would superbly match with the car. +1!

 By: amanico : May 10th, 2016-12:16
It will add a touch of class. ...

Indeed,

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-12:19
Tarja has this watch and I'm sure she'll wear it day and night against both car keys. Those women... Best, Kari

Did you re-married in mean time

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : May 10th, 2016-23:57
or just innocent typo? Pity it is not RED!!

I do not get it as I can't find a typo.

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-00:46
But no, I did not re-marry. At least she looks familiar. This bloody memory... Best, Kari

I always carry her ID in my wallet:

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-02:46
Tarja Anneli is her name plus my family name. It's historical. Estonia was for about 50 years under Soviet occupation. Let me give you an example: somebody was baptised "Jyri", a very typical Estonian (and Finnish) name. The same guy used the name "Juri" ...

Thanks to a very kind Moderator,

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-12:23
I'm getting a nice Reverso in the beginning of June. But a blue + white dial is not the best match with a black/black car... Best, Kari

This one is easy...

 By: ZeroHour : May 10th, 2016-12:31
From what I know about your taste AND because lately this watch has been haunting my dreams- my vote is the Patek 5960P! As far as the strap goes I think you did a great job with your steel version, therefore I leave this to you Sincerely and Respectfully...

I think grey is sporty and black is perhaps less sporty

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-21:54
but I would call it more elegant. Best, Kari

LINDE WERDELIN SPIDOLITE 3DTP CARBON ?

 By: kolosstt : May 10th, 2016-12:55
Suggestion no 2 Photo credit: Suggestion no 3 Photo credit: Amanico ...

Wow, that would fit.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-13:00
ETA or non-ETA? Best, Kari

Non-ETA

 By: kolosstt : May 10th, 2016-13:11
As far as I know they make it with a company called Chronode... Not really manufacture, but still very special. Just added an UN Freak as suggestion no 3... ...3 is the final attempt to be the lucky winner... BR, Kolosstt

I'll have a look at the watches proposed by you.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-13:15
I have understood that "Freak is cool" but I have never really understood how the watch works. A bit old you know... Best, Kari

You know how to operate a smartphone and all the switches in your cars.

 By: kolosstt : May 10th, 2016-21:37
Consequently, it can\'t be age to understand a watch without crown and pushers. If I woke up one morning and forgot how to operate a Freak, I\'d get council by YouTube I guess. - ah, there\'s the problem: I don\'t have a Freak... Cheers, kolosstt

I have a confection to make:

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-21:43
After I have been using iPhone for years, I did not learn to understand the logic of Vertu and Anroid... Last weekend I asked a guy from my Helsinki office to visit Tallinn and I gave him a job: "make my Vertu operate as much as iPhone as possible". Prett...

There you go, all suggestions here are made for you since all are purely mechanical.

 By: kolosstt : May 10th, 2016-22:36
Won\'t be long and your daughter can help with everything smartphone-like. BR, Kolosstt

I have three older daughters:

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-22:43
21, 20 and 16. They always help but there's a problem: After giving them a new laptop or phone for adjusting, they normally say: "dad, I think you will not like this. I can take it." Best, Kari

If so, you better keep those gadgets supplied to them.

 By: kolosstt : May 11th, 2016-01:48
And surely never ever ask about help with one of your watches.

Thanks god they are not interested.

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-01:56
But if they would know what a nice watch costs, they would suddenly be VERY interested. "One Patek=5 Hermes Birkin" would be the logic. Best Kari

The Freak is an excellent option

 By: iamcalledryan : May 11th, 2016-17:43
In some respects it's simple. Part of the gear train orbits the dial and the bridge acts as the minutes hand. Set the time by flicking the little plaque at 6 o'clock and turning the bezel, wind by turning the bezel of the caseback. The mainspring occupies...

Do you know:

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-22:01
is the movement in-house? Best, Kari

I am confident, but not certain

 By: iamcalledryan : May 12th, 2016-07:16
The escapement is proprietary and the execution is unique to say the least, so it is either fully in house or some elements are bespoke resourced (which I view with as much favor as full in house for specialist watches).

Congratulations for your Fantastic purchase and hope you enjoy it and , modestly , if I were you , I would have no doubt at All : any Richard Mille Rgds

Thanks for your suggestion.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-13:32
Isn't RM for young and dynamic men? I'm old, conservative and lazy. A typical Patek client. Best, Kari

There is always time

 By: nacho217 : May 10th, 2016-14:07
For a change , you may be surprised with something New ¿who knows? , I Think RM can be for All ages, (in fact I would like to own one when I am 80 ) Anyhow sure you choose the perfect one....

I got a couple of proposals I like

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-14:09
and one I really love! Best, Kari

My humble suggestion...

 By: An77n1 : May 10th, 2016-15:33
Patek 5905P black dial. It is black, sporty with the Chrono function in addition to the annual calendar. It exudes class and with a 42mm case legible and comfortable on the wrist. I think it would be a close contender if you don't already have this one.

Thanks An77n1

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-21:25
I have it. I must say that even I have a 8 inches wrist, 5905P feels a bit big. If I compare it with my 5960/1A, the latter feels much more "right" on the wrist. It's amazing what a difference 1.5 mm makes. Best, Kari

Your experience is more insightful

 By: An77n1 : May 11th, 2016-10:12
as I have only tried on the 5905P in the boutique for a moment. Thanks for sharing your experience as an owner. Now I know the 5960P black dial is the one for the hunt.

N reason to hunt. Easy to find...

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-10:59
Best, Kari

Congratulations Dr.

 By: SALMANPK : May 10th, 2016-15:53
The car looks stunning. My recommendation is the Chopard Engine One Tourbillon, this particular version was made for the Only Watch Auction but knowing you and your charm I am sure you can convince them to make another one for you and the other variants a...

I really like this Chopard Engine One Tourbillon suggestion!

 By: AnthonyTsai : May 10th, 2016-17:35
Another suggestion that hasn't been mentioned yet is the AP Offshore Diver Chronographs. Cheers, Anthony

I think I mentioned this AP.

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-21:35
I ordered from AP two bespoke straps, black hornback crocodile with yellow stitching, and reserved also the yellow ROO diver chronograph. This happened when I picked up my RO QP from AP's SEA Service Centre in Singapore. When my RO stopped again in a coup...

Nice one

 By: kolosstt : May 10th, 2016-21:22
Didn\'t know about that one. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Kolosstt

Yes, the yellow ROO Diver looks very cool -

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-22:41
even for an older man. Best, Kari

That looks really cool, thanks!

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-21:29
My bargaining power when Chopard is concerned is plain Zero. Furthermore, even the watch looks great, I'm not very excited about tourbillion and I do not believe I will ever have one. Best, Kari

Congratulations!

 By: watchheirmc : May 10th, 2016-20:55
May I suggest a Piaget Polo FortyFive to go with the prancing horse? ...

What connects this Piaget with a black Ferrari?

 By: dr.kol : May 10th, 2016-21:38
Your idea is, I suppose, that both are totally black. But the car has a lot of yellow details. Best, Kari

Not two traditionally connected brand

 By: watchheirmc : May 11th, 2016-00:13
I must admit. I guess my imagined scenarios would be 'hands on steering wheel' or 'wrists hanging by the window', where the matching black and yellow watch/car would make the most visual impact. For me there is a slight concern that a black+yellow detail ...

To be honest, it does not matter

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-00:52
if people will recognise my watch or not. I wear the watches just for myself. Best, Kari

Congratulations Kari

 By: RG1 : May 11th, 2016-00:56
i think every watches from your collections are match with your new Ferrari Enjoy them with a good health Ron

No, no, no...

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-01:17
Let's take any Nautilus: blue dial and black car would be tasteless. Best, Kari

Agreed... [nt]

Yellow chrogaph hands would be another story. Best, Kari

congrats

 By: Mo999 : May 11th, 2016-03:54
it seems we have the same 5980 different dial though, and the same car but different colour ! congratulations again.

We both seem to have good taste...

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-04:08
But our preferences when colours are concerned are different. Luckily there's no right, no wrong. Best, Kari

How about a Glashütte Original?

 By: Saxon : May 11th, 2016-08:35
Platinum case, inhouse automatic movement, column wheel chronograph, with matching colours? Picture from the web ...

AP Ginza is surely the right answer?

 By: CGJ0 : May 11th, 2016-10:34
But don\'t buy one before I can ;(

A sportscar asks for ...

 By: bimbeano : May 11th, 2016-14:00
.. either a Speedmaster or a Daytona ... offcourse with a Ferrari (i hope you ordered the Handling Speciale) there are other suitable possibilities as long as it's a chronograph ! Bim BTW ... congrats on the black devil

Thanks Bim.

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-14:29
Speedmaster is not really my thing - I somehow prefer a bit smoother watches. But the new Daytona... That I would like to have; both black & white. Best, Kari

Since you are already reserving your incoming 5370P for your next Ferrari, how about this

 By: keks : May 11th, 2016-14:50
Girard Perregaux 9020 Ferrari Scuderia Rattrapante Foudroyante Chronograph Split second chrono with 1/8 of a second measurability absolutely necessary! Link with video: ...

No doubts, a very nice watch.

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-14:57
California T with its 560 hp is such a tame car that something less than a split-second is sufficient. Furthermore, I have an issue with co-branding like "Breitling for Bentley" "Hublot for Ferrari". We all are adults and can probably find a suitable watc...

Ferrari California T is tame...

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-22:43
just 560 hp, 755 nm, 3.6 from 0 to 100 km/h and top speed over 315. An old man's Ferrari. Best, Kari

If the dial would just be enamel -

 By: dr.kol : May 12th, 2016-02:33
that would be a real contender to 5370P. Perhaps even nicer. But the price is salty. Best Kari

I have been thinking this a lot

 By: dr.kol : May 12th, 2016-06:03
because the price of both are insane and in these kinds of amounts small differences are not counted anymore. The enamel dial, Breguet numbers and the case design are the big plusses of 5370P. The movement of 5204P is as nice, the perpetual is a big plus ...

I might be crazy but not THAT crazy!

 By: dr.kol : May 12th, 2016-07:04
Luckily RG is not my thing. I prefer white metals - preferably steel or platinum. Best, Kari

Thank you Sir [nt]

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-22:02

I'd buy a very elegant black watch...

 By: Winfizz : May 11th, 2016-22:59
As one of the following... But I prefer the first one (only sold in Vacheron Constantin's Moscow Boutique). And the 5170G is cheaper than the 5970P! ...

Thank you for your proposal.

 By: dr.kol : May 11th, 2016-23:15
I like the Moscow Special but I do not like Moscow. Patek 5170G is nice but I like more platinum. I guess that I will never get 5170 because the coming 5370P will replace it well. Best, Kari

Just get a black hangover moon Sarpaneva ;-)

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 13th, 2016-13:48
White gold or maybe even platinum moons? Or silver? Anyway; a gloomy Finnish watch to go with the Ferrari. Über cool.

I just left Helsinki less than 2 hours ago

 By: dr.kol : May 13th, 2016-14:15
and when I go back and have more time, I will contact Sarpaneva. Hangover moon would be really cool. Have a great weekend! Kari

You too [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 13th, 2016-14:52

my vote is for the AP Diver Chrono because..

 By: christianch : May 14th, 2016-03:55
It would give you a great opportunity to re-gain trust in AP as a brand ...AND it would fit very nicely in your collection as something completely different, more sporty and very cool. Chrsitian

This watch is so cool that I reserved it.

 By: dr.kol : May 14th, 2016-10:17
But that happened when I picked up my RO QP from repairs and I believed it was fixed. When it did not work, my enthusiasm about ROO Diver Chronograph was cooling down. Best Kari

Non other than this one is fitting;)

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : May 21st, 2016-03:43
and it will remind you of Black Cali T long since it will be gone ...

Patek 5078P is a Rolls Royce watch

 By: dr.kol : May 21st, 2016-06:33
and Calit T is just a GT car. It does not deserve a Grand Complication; max a complicated watch. Best Kari

Then PPro ABR will do fine :) [nt]

Hi Kari!

Stunning car, thanks for sharing with us! Watch-wise, what about the Rolex Daytona Everose? The Daytona family has quite a rich automotive past and it is a manufactured movement... I also find that this very model stands out quite a lot from the usual Rol...

Hi Etienne,

Daytona is a fantastic watch. However, I'm never very excited about the combination of sportive watches and noble metal. But the new steel Daytona I'll buy as fast as I can get one into my hands. Normally I am going just for white metals steel and platinu...

Curious me...

Red gold?

Yes. And today I also bought

red gold cufflinks from Patek Salon... Best, Kari

For sure not.

 By: dr.kol : May 27th, 2016-10:25
I had for quite some time a crazy idea and getting RG cufflinks were and integrated part of that. Today I bought the same in YG... Best, Kari

kari how about ANGELUS watches

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : May 29th, 2016-02:23
thw U30 tourbillon rattrapante or the U40 tourbillon both reasonably priced for what they are ...

To be honest, tourbillon does nothing to me.

 By: dr.kol : May 29th, 2016-02:32
It might sound weird but for me it's an unneeded complication in a wristwatch and not so exclusive anymore. The only thing I have been thinking occasionally is GP's Three Golden Bridges. Best, Kari

Yes but the U30 also is s split seconds [nt]

Cali T is coming today

but 5370P only in the end of the year. Best, Kari

Obviously finding a matching watch....

 By: Andy : June 1st, 2016-04:46
will be too difficult, so I will save you the trouble and just swap you this for a Daytona. A good deal yes..? It will go very well with my Panerai 292 Hope you are well my friend, Andy.

I know, I know. [nt]

Is foundation year 1777 traditional enough?

 By: MTF : June 27th, 2016-17:48
Kari, This watch may not cost $100,000 but it still has some "PuristS" connection. Perrelet was founded in 1777 and invented the automatic rotor winding system. The Soprod movement is arguably "in-house" for Perrelet like Lemania movements are in-house fo...

Thank you for that.

 By: dr.kol : June 27th, 2016-21:47
I have been reading in the past about the history of the brand. Isn't it so that Perrelet is one of the many re-born brands? Anyhow, if the watch is not in the 100k class, it's just a great thing. Who on earth would like to pay much for anything if someth...

Few brands today are not reborn

 By: MTF : June 28th, 2016-04:21
Kari, Few brands today are 'original' with some founder's blood still managing, like Seiko and Audemars Piguet. Many are "re-established" like Breguet and Blancpain. Even Cartier and Chopard were resuscitated during the 1960s - 1970s by current owners. Th...

Thanks MTF,

 By: dr.kol : June 28th, 2016-04:39
I know pretty well this stuff. I also know well that i.e. Breguet was "re-born" but I still like the brand because it's easy to see the connection between the old and the new. Best, Kari

Girard Perregaux is the brand that matches a Ferrari

 By: nitediver : July 4th, 2016-12:26
For its history, for its strong link to Italy (previous owner, I believe you are aware), for its I have two proposals: Competizione Circuito or Stradale, depending on your taste. I would say the Circuito is the perfect match. Best Stefan ...

Nice looking chronographs

 By: dr.kol : July 4th, 2016-12:33
and the first one is cool. Thanks for showing these. Best, Kari

Hi Kari, my top choice would be the titanium Linesport pieces from F.P. Journe

 By: HauteWind : July 19th, 2016-12:27
Either the the Centigraphe Sport or Octa Sport in titanium on a bracelet would be a superb pairing with your Ferrari. I have the Centigraphe Sport in aluminum and it's my favorite 'sport' watch in my collection.

That pairing makes perfect sense to me.

 By: HauteWind : July 19th, 2016-13:08
Unfortunately, Journe stopped producing the linesports in aluminum due to the difficulty in working with the material but you can find them on the preowned market. If you want to purchase new, titanium is the only way to go.

I have been following the discussion Here a bit.

But now am really wondering if there is a revolution that you can share? Or have I missed the plot?
