Resistance tends to increase going from fully unwound to partially wound, but you’ll have difficulty turning the crown further once the watch is fully wound.

Agreed with JMPTT. As a fellow 1942 owner, I asked that question at the VC boutique in NYC a few weeks ago (I was having some issues with the date wheels properly jumping). Wind fully until it feels resistant to going forward, don't force it, just keep wi...
