That's the underlying premise of all those who object to premiums to MSRP: that if the AD would only price the watch at MSRP, the would-be buyer would be able to purchase the watch at MSRP.
I think that's a false premise.
The watch would undoubtedly be allocated at MSRP only to the AD's very best customers, leaving the rest of us with no access to those watches at all (through an AD).
I do find the premiums to MSRP unsavory, but merely dictating that only sales at MSRP are allowed does not really address the underlying problem of a supply-demand imbalance at MSRP prices.
