I also would use the chronograph function only from time to time and the perpetual calendar complication doesn’t mean much to me as I know what day and what month I am in without a watch telling me. I am not interested in moon phases either. However, the design of this watch, the elements that come together in the dial creates such a balance and beauty that imho justifies the heights this iteration came to be. This watch to me seems to be the definitive watch that a mature man should own. It looks so stately and commanding on ones wrist that it exhumes class.

thank you. It might be possible for us to have all four iterations, but there are other special rare models out there that make me hesitate. I can say the exact same thing about the 5070s case.

They are simply amazing. I Reid on the 3970 yesterday at WOS in Wynn Las Vegas. It was beautiful but I prefer the size of the 5970.

...But to me, J is 'real' gold. It is the natural color. All others have different metals in them. So a classic watch (imho) deserves a classic gold : )
