impressive to see them side by side.....to tell you the truth,I thought about that combo myself, but i like the diversity of my couple...
Talking about the colour of the power reserve hand on the QL,I think it makes TOTAL sense.........
Here is what i think:
1)What you can't express in your wonderful post is the real experience ,with the Chronograph, you have two watches in one,you trigger the chrono, stop it,wind it etc...the same you can do with the time, hence it is absolutely necessary to have clear different indications for both parts of the watch, including the power reserve.
By the way you rarely wind the chronograph as you do not use it very often, but the watch can just function with one barrel,in fact you just normally wind the time power reserve.
2)The experience with the QL is different, you never use the second complication "on demand",the watch is a unity, you need to wind both barrels for it to function, both the time,QL AND the escapement.....EVERyTHING on the dial is about the precision of the time and the QL,thats it!
There are no indications about the escapement on the dial, only its power reserve which needs to be wound together with the other one for the watch to work.
So I think that ,apart from the date that needs to be legible quickly, there is no reason to have a power reserve hand in rose gold.......and I like it like that much more, but also it makes a lot of sense.
Wonderful post,we can talk about the Duometres for hours.....they are really magic, complicated, but in a clever way...
I think that whilst the chrono is quite appealing for many and "easy" to understand, the QL is more intellectual, but once you get it it gives even more pleasure......
Great post!!!!
Ok one more....
