Well.. there are different possibilities.. to miss a piece..
Apr 17, 2014,11:19 AM
.. I guess, one scenario is as mentioned : the absence of a beloved
intensifies the love, and/ or brings to the surface, what we have known anyway..
Here a picture of this one, my very first JLC MMV, which I always miss, when
put away into the safe - just because it is linked to a special mood, of a begin,
of a true passion since..
My black beauty.. E 855 MMV.. Strong feelings
Then there is another one, where the loss , or almost loss, produced a certain pain
,
even more felt, as it was a recent find, as we talk about tic-tacs..
Therefore, below some pics of this piece, at that time - during a trip - newly received and acquired,
together with enjoying other pieces; then celebrating hilariously with kind friends
- but suddenly - the next day - even on the way to the airport
realizing the mishap of having lost it - and not even remembering (!) ,
- When, where and how ?...
And then, frentic calls to the friends. - Finally, having accepted the agony of a "double loss",
as the initial find of that piece, was also connected to one very good friend,
who has had a role in the former acquisition
Then , finally the resolution, by finding it, after several hours or such when home:
apparently having slided into a hidden pouch of the trolly..
)
Here, without further ado, just the 3 pics of it, one of my favorite JLC Vintages,
actually my very first Chrono, as well, which I hold dearly, even more
- also as a near loss..
Nearby Vintage impression
Also the details are nice
Jaeger Vintage Chrono .. Paradise lost - Paradise regained ( J Milton)
Apologies, for the long saga ;
let me just say.. even if the heart " bleeds",
there hopefully are remedies at hand to cope with it
Best, hs
