To Humble Me.. A piece of refined art..Exquisite craftmanship & eclectic spirit behind

Feb 17, 2015,08:27 AM

.. As I am neither a specialist in high end Horology, its these pieces,
that sometimes make your thoughts wander, thinking beyond our finite time(s).

Nor am I to judge on the role & interaction of complications, but
The whole artwork respires an ode of harmony somehow..

Also I guess, that special effect looking through the sideway window,
seeing the Spherotourbillon having its multi-axial reverberations must have
its own spell !

- The staircase - I do like it ! - leads to this little sophisticated Tourbi, a piece by
horological artwork, inviting the viewer to come nearer to its magic moves,
Looking at it in more than one way. - Interesting concept & solution, nice !

Also like the second dial for the 24 hrs and the subsecond, and the power reserves
reminding one, that this is something special, "mechanical" also - the Duomètre concept - from the side of
pure watchmaking.
Finally, not to forget the superb special moon complication with an unbelievable
never to be changed in 1 in 10 or in 100 lives, makes one think, how
small we are and remain for times to come..

Thx for the share, including your nice pictorial,
sublimely giving one - how shall I say - some sort of esoteric, but almost
philosophical access to time..

As with several of these high end treasures, it delivers joy to few,
guess very few, happy ones to embark on that journey into time,
with a remarkably beautiful piece, but also by stimulating our senses
and feelings, in the end leaving us humble again..

Best, hs

A question invaded my mind, when I saw the first pictures of the Duometre à Spherotourbillon Moon: Do we have a new Watch? If we discuss the case, it is not really a novelty The platinum case is, indeed the same than the Spherotourbillon introduced in the...

for JLC to produce some really cool version in stainless steel (though I doubt that's JLC's thoughts), and market it, and create their own "Daytona" syndrome. -Dean

A great watch

I think it is a successful watch since it combines two complications which match perfectly: a very slow one and a very fast one. They share in common their mysterious sides. This combo makes the watch fascinating. Thanks for the article. Fx
