Thanks Nico...

When disaster struck a few years ago - the Geographique was one of the first watches I replaced.I still think it is one of the best executions of the complication, partly because it's there when you need it - but doesn't dominate. Most world-timers announce what they are from across the room!

The 'complication' side is spectacular with the strong red and black and is a fantastic contrast to the regular side.

The regular Reverso dual time is a lovely watch - but the Geographique adds something very special.

I think the 60eme is under rated, it's such a beauty in the flesh - but seems under valued in the market., I think because photographs don't do it justice. It's slight ugly duckling looks seem to fade away in the flesh.

I think these 1990s Reversos are among JLC's greatest pieces. Their pink gold cases, the GT size and sense of balance in how they added the complications are all just fantastic.

Reverso GTG

Afraid I'm a terrible photographer, but having taken delivery of a new addition I wanted to share some pictures The 60eme is much more attractive in the flesh than in pictures. The contrast of the different dial guilloche is very interesting - although ha...

What can I say? Three fantastic Reversos.

Ok, it is easy to admire a 60eme and a 70eme. Both being very important milestones in JLC and Reverso life. But the Geographique is a Reverso I love a lot. For its complication, for its design, and for its spirit. A great and Under estimated Watch, in the...

Greg, There's something about those Reversos from about a decade ago - they have a romance, a spirit, which is absolutely fantastic. If I'm honest, the 70eme isn't one for me. There's something about the dial composition which doesn't quite capture me; it...

I think the 70eme is an extreme watch. I love it - but it is quite thick and very heavy (mine weighs 168g). Why do I love it? The balance of the dial is something I love - particularly in the platinum version where the blues, greys and silvers come togeth...

168 Grams for the Septantième? I knew it was a heavy watch, but at that point!!! [nt]

168g - just...wow...bit of a workout! Thank you for your comments, as you actually have experience of wearing them (I'm working off photos, so am pretty uninformed, really; take my comments with a small heap of fleur de sel de Guerande). As for the Sun/Mo...

Reverso Repetition Minutes a Rideau

 By: Greg D : December 15th, 2014-14:04
According to my 2000 catalog the Sun/Moon was available in white gold with the black dial or pink gold with the white dial. Both are beautiful. I think Nico is exacly right it in saying that in that era the Reversos were the princes of the JLC range, ther...

I totally agree on the size, though... Too big for me, too. Another which is too big is the stunning Gyro II. A top Watch, with a good excuse for its thickness, the Gyrotourbillon, but unwearable on my human wrist. Best, Greg. Nicolas

Yes, this was a fantastic series. The only problem is that .....

JLC favoured the Reverso line. There was not round counterpart as exciting as the Reverso was, at that time. But what a series! Best, Greg. Nicolas

I have to wonder.... There was also a Reverso Tourbillon in platinum that did not reach the reserve. Great watch and your photos are better than you believe. Had forgotten what a beautiful dial the 60eme had. Congrats! Andrew H

Thanks for the kind words Andrew, Yes two 60eme were sold at auction recently. The estimates were very low in both cases, but were wrong - with both going for similar prices. I thought both were slightly low - but given there were two examples I guess tha...

Hi All thee look great. Though for me the 60eme stands out - in a GT case and that dial with all its eccentricities is just fab. I've been luck enough to see one in the flesh, it and the repetition from the same series are my favourite watches. Cheers JML...
