Hi Dean,
Thank you so much for the write-up on the Gran Sport Lady. I bought mine in 2004 after lots of research and help from folks here at the Purists.
The 2 sides, 2 time zones, really allow two different worlds. The duality provides so much flexibility. On the more ornate side the night/day indicator with the gorgeous sun setting that gives way to the gold stars on the midnight blue sky is a little magical to watch.
While I have both the bracelet and the rubber strap, I always seem to gravitate back to the rubber strap - the contrast of texture, materials, colors and feel on the wrist is my favorite. The folding clasps in themselves are a great piece of engineering, with such fine smooth movement, and the adjustability is great.
Wow, I wasn't aware the movement was so thin. And it is hard not to appreciate all that it does!
Let your wife know that the Breguet Reine De Naples was also on my short list back then, it is a gorgeous watch. But in our casual Seattle world here it would have gotten precious little air time.
So glad your wife has enjoyed her beautiful little machine, I certainly have.
Best,
Diana
