Raffles Hotel makes really good mooncakes, and their wares are famous in Singapore. As with their usual superlative offerings, the JLC mooncakes were exceptional, which is to be expected
Also a word about the Chinese characters printed on the mooncakes - it is the romanized version of the word "Jaeger" and is pronounced as "Ji Jia"
The first character "积" (pronounced as "Ji"), means to "accumulate or to amass".
The second character "家" (Pronounced as "Jia"), means "house of".
So the literal meaning of "积家" is the "House of Accumulation". I wonder if it was JLC's intention for collectors to amass large numbers of their lovely watches. But I really don't mind at all. What a wonderful thought!
