Hey everyone, This forum has been a great resource in terms of information, opinion and research thanks to to great community. I've made many purchasing decisions on the great advice here, but I'm looking for opinions between 2 esoteric choices -- which o...

Hi Fairfax.

In terms of complicatons, I'd say the Moser, of course, as a perpetual calendar is, to me, more appealing than a " simple " moonphase. And the Moser is an interesting perpetual calendar! BUT, there are several reasons which lead me to go for the JLC, inst...

Nicolas is right to emphasize the moonphase as pretext to the primary concern of precision

I cannot countenance the foudroyante sharing time with a moonphase complication, which to me together suggests a celestial serenity offset by the frenzied and frenetic function of the foudroyante. An unresolved tension......' I'd opt for the Moser in this...

Welcome!

The Moser perpetual is my favorite iteration of the perpetual calendar, and palladium my favorite metal so I'd be sorely tempted to pick up that watch between the two. The JLC in question is, however, a more interesting watch (even if I prefer the origina...

Simple or complex? Stealth or Blatant

Both JLC and Moser have good websites, so you can view the watches there ... Moser for me without hesitation. Love that simple execution of the complex perpetual calendar complication. Andrew...

both are excellent

Wow, thanks for all the great opinions Keep them coming! It seems that there're slightly more people liking the JLC due to the dial being more interesting. Amanico did bring up a good point saying that Moser's simplicity is a two-edged sword and I agree. ...

I think your approach of building

a small but meaningful (to you) collection is the right way to go. Don't rush in to impulse buys. Take your time to look, re-look and re-look a watch before you commit. The initial WOW, marketing forces can often lead to impulse buys that you could regret...

Personally....

I'd prefer a perpetual calendar... even though I do not own one so the vote goes to the Moser... But whatever decision that you make, both watches are winners! Cheers, GG
