Thanks Oliver, It certainly is a small world. And it's been great to meet fellow enthusiasts. That was partly the motivation for getting the watch directly from Hong Kong, meeting other collectors and discussing horology till the early hours of the mornin... 

No worries regarding case and size (38mm!) as I already love it a lot Would be a tough decision for me to decide between the Remontoir d´Egalitè and the Second Morte ... So far I failed to buy something from FPJ (for several reasons) and would start with ... 

... it was a close decision. I will unpack this more when I do a full review of the watch on HoMe. The Octa RdM with the YG dial is 38mm. I love this watch a lot, and it is not a lesser watch than the DS in any way. Generally I prefer the 38mm Journe's, e...

I think I was! The DS Tourbillon has come a lot earlier than I expected, but it's fantastic and beyond my wildest dreams. Really. I spent an hour today looking through a 10x loupe trying to work out exactly how the independent seconds and remontoir worked...

The decision to move on the DS was made in November, so it has been a loooong 3 month wait. The reason was to coincide with the return of the Octa from routine service. A Journe Big Bang. Almost overwhelming! We need another GTG, or you should drag yourse...

Quite different from the sound of other big balance tourbillons I've heard. And it's truly a marvel to behold... That DS is one of my favorites as well! So envious that you got that one! Congrats again C

... because that La Tradition Tourbillon in platinum (and not the YG version, interestingly, even though I love the simple YG Tradition) and the Haldimann H1 are highest on my list of desirable tourbillons after the F.P.Journe. Throw in a Three-Gold-Bridg...
