Please do not "give a guiding hand"

Dec 26, 2016,09:32 AM

Hi,
I recognise that you are trying to be kind and I very much appreciate your Christmas spirit, but I believe that there is a very valid reason why most of the responses to this thread are so short: by giving him a "guiding hand" as you do, you help the counterfeiters improve their skills. I don't know if the thread starter is a counterfeiter or not, but given that the picture shows such a terribly executed fake watch, and that it is his first post, it seems highly suspicious to me. Even if he is not a counterfeiter, any other counterfeiter can see this thread and learn. I hope you understand this point of view.
Merry Christmas!

The watch is a not particularly well executed fake. I hope you did not go for it or still have a possibility of returning it. On a more positive note, welcome to PuristSPro! You will find many welcoming and very knowledgeable members here, who will be hap...

Guys, he might not be a WIS, so cut him some slack, and give him a guiding hand!

When I first looked at it, three things stood off... I have owned a Panerai previously, but not at all an expert. These four things stood out the most: 1. Numerals. They should be either painted or 'sandwiched'. This is neither. If you google Panerai Dial...

Very nice. So right.

I understand your point of view, however...

Were this even remotely close to looking like a real Panerai, I would have kept quiet. We all want to avoid helping the fraudsters. However this is so far off the mark from a real PAM, that it is laughable. If anyone were to have intelligence level to put...

Spot on!

Exactly what I thought of - and I am far from an expert in PAMs. Those 2 windows look far too close - cross-eyed

Alas, very much a fake or attempted replica. Real Pam would have the seconds further out to the 9 position with no 9 numeral for a start (unless one of the very newest 47mm models. The magnifier on this one doesn't seem to do much. A real one works a bit ...

I'm always intrigued

by the artistic license some counterfeiters choose to employ when making their "creations".
