I have the 40mm version and it is counter clockwise to unscrew and clockwise to wind. In fact I have never owned a watch that operates the other way.

I recently purchased a GMT Big Date and am wondering if you all think something is wrong. To wind the watch, the manuel says to unscrew the crown and turn the crown clockwise to wind it. It also says that about 30 turns of the crown should wind the watch.... 

Winding mine is clockwise

im not sure if its the same as yours, but you should unscrew the crown anticlockwise to release the crown once it is out to wind is clockwise you can wind it 30 or 40 times remember there is a difference in 30 half turns and 30 full turns you cant over wi...

I agree with the others. I unwind the watch counter clockwise and wind it clockwise when the crown is in position C (which is the one for winding). However, I recall from the sales rep at the jewelry store, where I bought the watch, that 40 full winds are...

Unless you have some sort of flaw in your watch it should definitely unscrew counter clockwise and wind clockwise. I have never heard of or seen any watch where the crown unsrews clockwise. I just think you are mistaken, i also agree with the others in th...
