Which one first? Geophysic or Deep Sea Chronograph

Jan 25, 2015,11:02 AM

Hi Gents,

I really like the Geophysic in SS and the Deep Sea Chronograph (2068570). I think ultimately, I will own both, but I need to do it in steps.

I really like the concept behind the Geophysic and the fact that it can straddle this classic yet sporty balance. Customizing it with different straps can really change the feel of it. My only concern is whether it will have the wrist presence that I like to keep it interesting enough for me to keep long term.

For the Deep Sea Chronograph, I don't get the impression that it's as loved as most of the other JLC lines. I'm curious to hear some thoughts on whether my impression is correct and if so, why?

Cheers,
Tom

It all depends on what you are after.

If you are a sporty Watch, the Deep Sea Chrono is for you. Which one are you talknig about? The Deep Sea Vintage Chrono or the Deep Sea Chronograph? If you are after a more polyvalent Watch, then the TT Geophysic is the one. Don't worry about its 38, 5 mm...

What's your opinion of the Deep Sea?

It's the Deep Sea Chronograph not the vintage. I don't see too much love for the Deep Sea, hence I'm wondering whether there's something I'm not aware of up about the watch or line. What's your opinion of the Deep Sea Chrono?

The " Vintage " has more sensuality, the Chrono has more technicality.

Are you talking about the Cermet? The most loved and popular Chronograph from JLC seems to be he Amvox II. But it is not a diving Watch. The Deep Sea Chrono is a very good product, but my heart is taken by the Amvox II, to tell you the truth. Best, Nicola...

Like 'em both...

Very different watches. Sport vs. something that can straddle dress and casual, but not too dressy and not too casual. I personally love the Deep Sea Chrono. Great size at 42mm--not too big to be silly, but big enough to be modern and fit a variety of med...

Hard to resist the Geo

its a beautiful piece. Unfortunately, I had only a few days to enjoy it before the misus decided she likes it. Happened once before, it's a done deal. Cheers Asi ...

I've decided on the Geophysic.....already thinking about new shoes

What's the length at the lugs? One of the fun things about the Geophysic will be to play with new straps.

I hesitate between 19 and 20 mm between the lugs.
