Two temptations I spotted yesterday
Yesterday, for the first time I saw a Bumpermatic in the metal, and I loved the way it looked. I have my doubts about the crown, since in what photos I've been able to find the crowns are not that large in diameter in comparison to the case. If anyone would like to share their thoughts on this example, I'd appreciate it. I've lately developed a weakness for small, yellow dressier timepieces.
I also saw a black dial RDM with bracelet, which I really like as a package. I love the grey/white dauphine hands on the black face. In general, I love round JLCs with black dials, from the RDM to the Master 8 Days to the Aston Martin Hometime (not to forget Duometre). Master 8 days with the big date and the moon/sun day night indicator may be my favorite attainable example, but there is an elegant balance to this RDM. Thanks for looking!

I would go for a stainless steel Powermatic Jumbo, or for this black RDM.

Hi Both fab watches. The powermatic has a lot of appeal - can't comment about the crown, did have a look in Zaf Basha's book and doesn't look way out. Though not seen many in the flesh. As for RDM - great watch with either silver or black dial Cheers JML
