Jaeger LeCoultre Special Event at the JLC Beverly Hills Boutique: Part 1
Mar 09, 2013,01:02 AM
Jaeger LeCoultre and PuristSPro welcomes
Nicolas Fondaneche aka 'amanico' to the JLC Beverly Hills Boutique to
preview the new collection for 2013, including the stunning JLC Master
Ultra Thin Perpetual 39 and the Duometer UTT Unique Travel
Time.
For this occasion,
we were all honored to have Yves Meylan, International Retail Director
at Jaeger LeCoultre; Philippe Bonay, North America President Jaeger
LeCoultre; and the lovely Sara R, National Sales Trainer Jaeger
LeCoultre, join us for this special event. Of course
we were hosted by the wonderful staff at the JLC Beverly
HIlls Boutique lead by always friendly Nicola
B.
We
arrived a few minutes early, but quickly joined by
several guests who were welcomed in from the thunderstorms
we were experiencing the past two days. Luckily the weather
cooperated during the evening. We have both familiar faces from the
PuristS community along with
plenty of new faces. We even had several PuristS fly in from Northern California to view
the new watches!
It's always fun to
visit the boutique and they brought out a range of watches for us to
enjoy (more on this later).
We have
Nicolas proudly showing off his travel companion, the JLC Duometre
UTT. I've been following his post over the past week and
finally got a closer hands-on look at this gorgeous watch. It
was great to see Nicolas again
too!
Mr. Meylan speaking with our
guests
This was
fantastic to see, we have several JLC Master Minute Repeaters on PuristS
wrists and compared the various
versions.
A close up
wristshot of the original version of the titanium JLC Master Minute
Repeater:
The JLC Reverso was another
popular model including a limited edition blue dial version (more on
this in part 2) and we have Nicola showing
this:
Mr. Bonay
and Meylan having a great time mingling with the
guests
It was
great to see Gullermo, I still remember having the pleasure of
interviewing him when JLC debuted the Grande Reverso 976 Ceniceros
Edition
Next is part 2 with the JLC watches!

Shows the Grande Maison has high expectations for the MUT PC in SS. I bet it will be a success! Thank you for sharing it! Marcelo
The MUT is an exciting piece

Thanks marcelo for reading the event post and watching the video. I agree, JLC is doing some great things and the MUT PC SS is an exciting piece that I'm sure will be successful. Which did you like better, the Duometre or the MUT PC? If you had a choice, ...
Tough questions, ED-209...
By: marcelo : March 15th, 2013-19:17
But I like the MUT PC better. I'm deeply impressed by the Duometre, though so captivated by the MUT PC! If I had the choice I'd have to go for the Rose (it is rose, not yellow, right?) Gold, but if money (this mundane detail…) was an issue the SS would ma...
You're right about that
By: ED209 : March 16th, 2013-13:13
Yep, RG for the MUT PC. I agree, any version would make me happy, and I like the fact that JLC offers the various metals for the range of price points. Regards, ED-209
Thanks to all!

Appreciate you letting me handle and examine that special watch, the engraving is incredible and like I said it's metal sculpting art that is incredible difficult to execute well. Have safe trip back home and hope to see you soon. HAGWE Gary! -MW
LOL, great to see you and thanks
By: ED209 : March 9th, 2013-12:35
And thanks for letting me seeing your watches as well. It was a fun event and great to see you there. Regards, ED-209

I love it when brands bring over their historical watches. I think that this is so important to see, but often overlooked because the brands are so focused on their new line of watches. But I was extremely impressed that Jaeger-LeCoultre brought over thes...

They would make a fascinating couple, or perhaps, it may be better said that the MUT 39 is the offspring of the pocket watch. Whatever the case may be, I'm pleased with the case design of the new MUT 39 - an example of good breeding. Always a pleasure to ...
The two JLC pocket watches
