my pocket watch is smiling to me as he does not feel home sick anymore...

... if you are aware, i have recently acquired a "day-date pocket watch" .

one of the responses was received from from Clavi, in his reply i learnt that he has a very nice "vintage pocket watch box" for his pocket watch collection. as stimulated by his reply, i asked myself why not to hunt for a home for my pocket watch as well.

after hard work of searching, finally managed to find one vintage pocket watch in a very good condition. as told by the seller, it was made about 1920. i cannot determine how true of it, but based on my assessment, it seems quite in old year indeed.

i trust my pocket watch does not feel home sick anymore as you can see his smile from the photos.

The box is not from 1920 for a very simple reason.

The name Jaeger-Lecoultre only appeared in ... 1937. BUT it is better to put your delicious pocket watch in a box! Best, my friend. Nicolas

don't care about that...

Congrats, Stefan! :)

Another nice catch! As Nicolas mentioned; the box is not from 1920... But that is good news for you as your PW (Ref 1815) was in the catalogue in 1945! Best, my friend Blomman

thanks so much, Blomman...

Congrats on getting this nice, and it seems perfectly fitting (in terms of size but also correct period) box to house this very uncommon double date pocket watch. The watch is very well protected and displayed in its natural 'home'

many thanks Clavi :-)
