Time for a change. This or that? Or maybe the other?

I pre-ordered the Reverso 1931 Tribute and received one of the first to arrive in the country (Australia).  Unfortunately, soon after my order, the US Limited Edition was announced. Not a problem until I found out the LE came with a hand made Casa Fagliano Cordovan strap.

Well, I'm a sucker for cordovan straps. I had to have the cordovan strap.  Emails flowed to the Beverly Hills Boutique. Sorry No!!!  Its a limited edition strap. Only 100 to be made.  Not available for individual purchase without the watch.  I couldn't justify a second 1931 Tribute. Sigh......

But then it struck me.  I'll get my own hand made cordovan strap.  So I changed out my JLC Alligator strap for

THIS....

... hand made 1mm thin black horween shell cordovan strap.  Very appropriate for an ultra thin watch.

But why stop there.  I love the feel of cordovan so I also got

THAT....

... hand made black caiman crocodile on horween shell cordovan strap.  Similar in look to the OEM strap but the comfort of shell cordovan.

But I couldn't help myself.  In a moment of  frenzy, I also went for

THE OTHER....

...hand made honey ostrich on horween shell cordovan strap.

I wish I could be more decisive but I am using all 3 on rotation.

So what would you choose: THIS or THAT?  Or maybe THE OTHER?

Regards,
Richard.

The Cordovan, first, then the Ostrich, for me.

My God! These 3 straps are the cherry on the cake for your TT R 1931. They compliment the watch very well. I love a lot the Cordovan for its simplicity, and its thinness. And the Ostrich for its vintage character, which enhances the contrast of the indexe...

Actually, the idea for the ostrich strap

I like all three combos! But if I have to choose - I would go for the plain black or the ostrich... Best Blomman

Many thanks for your comments Blomman

The thin black cordovan seems to be the "winner". Regards, Richard.

The plain goes first ...

Then the crocodile. I'm not a particular fan of ostrich, in this case. If it was darker it could be fine. In any case, this watch goes with anything. Cheers, Nilo

Thanks for your thoughts Nilomis

I find all 3 work well for me. The understated simple black cordovan strap works really well. Regards, Richard.

Beautiful straps...

Having a similar watch I appreciated the thickness of the Fagliano strap, one of the few "JLC" OEM straps that I liked, so I would say the croc first and the ostrich next. I tried "period" thin straps on my Reverso and did not like the look. It may be bec...

You're right

custom straps (particulary thin ones) can make the lugs stick out a bit as the strap curves on you're wrist. To look at it initially, you think uh oh this is wrong. However, when you wear the watch it is barely noticeable. Look at the lugs carefully. The ...
