First of all, and I didn't write it in my post, the TT DSA is the result of a collaboration between friends of the brand and the brand, like it was the case for the TTP.
It is a team work, which caused a lot of very interesting brainstormings.
The size was at the centre of the discussions: Larger to be conform to the trend ( 42 or 44 mm ) or deliberately indentical to the original, like the ... original?
You see the outcome here.
About the US TT DSA, something made me laught a lot: I remembered the reactions when people saw the writings on the NSA alarm disk, and I was quite convinced that it would be less disturbing on the Tribute...
JLC believes in both of these versions, Matt, not one more than another, and when you read the reactions here, it is 50 / 50, each of these has its fans, which is excellent.
Another last point on which I want to insist is that on theTT DSA, except the movement, every other thing is new, from the case to the crowns, without forgetting the dials, the plexys, the bezel.
Expensive?
Yes.
Less than the TT Polaris, though, which had some eleme, nts laready exisiting in the catalog: The case and the crowns, to mention them.
I would have liked to see it a bit less expensive, though but it will be a " one shot " production.
Best, Matt.
Nicolas.
