Last week, 15 Dec, Jaeger-LeCoultre officially opens their second
Boutique in Singapore at the Marina Bay Sands after their first at the
Raffles Hotel.
It started with the 'ribbon cutting' ceremony and
Lion Dance at 6:30pm and followed by a cocktail celebration at the
highest point of Marina Bay Sands, Ku De Ta at Sands Sky Park.
6pm The front door of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Marina Bay Sands Boutique was 'dressed up' ...
After that was told the
cutting ceremony was done with a twist. Instead of the typical ribbon
cutting, it would be 'opening the giant white watch strap' !
The theme for the evening was " White Elegance", which was also fresh and also relevant to the coming white Christmas.

After blessing the space, it's
time for the traditional "cai ching" which meant "plucking the
greens", and the mandarin word for greens/vegetables is sort of a
chinese homonym for the word with the meaning of wealth .
The
Lions will peel the vegetables and mandarin-oranges(symbolise gold),
then 'spit ' some out and arrange the rest to form an auspicious chinese
character.
The 'ching' served on a gold plate ...
