Some JLC Love

Apr 23, 2009,06:37 AM

Some watches feed the Passion, indeed.

Beside the Passion, they are also a good representation of the Talent and the D.N.A of a brand.

Here are 4 nice examples, 4 pics, 2 pairs...

1/ The MMR and the Perpetual Skeleton:

Two different expressions of such Classic Complications like the Minute Repeater and the Perpetual Calendar, modern and artistic in the same time:

2/ The Duo Metre and the Reverso 70eme:

A round watch, a rectangular one, but both wonderful interpretations of the Horological skillness:

Just for the pleasure of the eyes...

I have to say each time I see a picture it feel so well balanced. The back of the skeleton is a piece of art by itself! Thanks for sharing Nico

Aaah, AT, you seem to have got the JLC Virus

Even if it is easy to get it with this kind of pieces... To me, the Duo Metre is a king in its category: A nicely conceived and finished movement, a superb and traditional dial, and this Foudroyante which achieves to drive you crazy. The MMR is a stunning...

Correct, Bruce! :)

This 4 Aces are, for me, 4 of the best JLC. I love all them. The first duo, the MMR and the Perpetual Skeleton, are a dream for every watches lover... modernity, strong and technological watches but really elegants at the same time, two high movements and...

Don't know which one is more elegant, Emilio

 By: amanico : April 23rd, 2009-14:02
They all have their own personality, and interest, too. A Concept Watch, an Artisitic watch, a very classy one, and a Classic one. Difficult to choose! But a good sign is that I wear each of them very often, and I feel an intense pleasure doing so. Thanks...

Why

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : April 23rd, 2009-13:57
o why did I opened your post arghhhhhh Would you be willing to trade let's say 3 of them for Gyro I ;0) best Damian

Don't know why, Damian...

 By: amanico : April 23rd, 2009-14:05
Maybe because you love Inquisition and their exquisite sense of Torture? As for trading some of these pieces for a Gyro I, it will be an hard dilemma. Of I can do it, then the Perpetual skeleton is the only one to be in danger. Not that I love it less tha...

Your reasoning seems sound

 By: respo : April 24th, 2009-06:10
but when dealing with usch watches, reason flies out the window. So nice to see the side by side shots of these watches. I do not think I realized the size difference between the PS and MMR. The PS, MMR and Duometre are three of my very favorite watches. ...

And what a pleasure!!!

I like a lot the pair Duo metre / 70eme

 By: amanico : April 24th, 2009-23:15
Thanks, Matrix, for your comments. I like a lot the pair Duo Metre / 70eme, as an expression of JLC TRadition. A Round, a Rectangular case, side by side... Like in the past, when JLC released the Reverso, and the Mythic Memovoxes... Best, Nicolas
