Other than the in every aspect disappointing AMVOX3
this new Gyrotourbillon is close to perfection:
Further innovating the already superlative spherical tourbillon,
a very pleasing design and finish and had the case not neces-
sarily to be that large I would even say understated - but I won’t
argue about case dimensions with respect to this watch
(hear me, Nicolas?).
I do also like the idea of not loading the watch up, but having
a time only instrument, where precision is the only goal.
Until your report I did not realise, that the Gyro II would have a
torque device. If I do get things right this device will stop the
watch when there is not sufficient torque for a precise (chrono-
metric) timekeeping. This is kind of puzzling: Unless you have
an indicator for the torque, you will not know when this happens
so that the watch may stop though it still has power reserve!
Isn’t that even worse than not showing the time within chrono-
metrical precision? Thus shouldn’t there be a torque indicator,
that shows us when the watch is in danger of stopping? Or is it
possible to read from the position of the torque device whether
the torque is sufficient or not (though there is no indicator)?
Please help!
Cheers
Christian
Addendum for Nicolas: It is not designed by Magalie, is it?
