Something wrong with this watch...

I know that purists will think that any kind of modification to watches would be illegitimate anyway, but looking at this particular watch, this one seems even more impure than just a PVD/dial modification.  


The dial doesn't match the case back?
The real Picard Edition Deepsea was a special edition of 86 done by Philipp Stahl and Project X? With the single "Deep Sea" in red on the dial and the HEV in black...
Yet this dial seems to be from Prohunter?? 

Strange combination that makes me suspect this watch (in its original form before modification) is not even a real Rolex?

My friend's wife is one lucky lady because her brother gave her this great looking watch. Although Rolex would not honor its warranty due to the coating done to it, IMO it is worthwhile to get this "paint" job because the watch looks very distinctive !! W...

but to me, these look and feel more like 'knock-offs' than the real thing.... I think most of us, especially the vintage lovers, really prize pieces for their authenticity. It's the same thing with car collecting-- bone stock is preferred and "mods" are f...

Im more of a purist and tend to go for the the stuff that otters think are nuts like a COMEX or the controversial modern UK military commissions. Nevertheless, my wife wanted and got a Pro-Hunter Milgaus and it is SUPER cool. Its been her daily wearer sin...

a Rolex watch is the teflon coating made at the factory ( Geneva ) for a very few 5513 delivered to SAF Special Forces in the 70s ...

This is not a genuine Rolex watch! This is a chinese copy. Of course this watch is false! I have seen this copy in Hong Kong for approx 200 USD. //GD
