Love the photos and great example . . .
Here is mine . . currently in getting a tune up and can't wait to get it back home 
And I know it's not everyone's taste, but that darn orange hand that seduced me on the 1655 convinced me to grab his younger and bigger brother as well

I don't see any harm leaving it as it is. The only thing could be done ab=nd keep the originality and feel is to get the bezel re enameled. Best Bill

I has a solid place in any collection
It is a simple one to collect unlike a Daytona with 25 variations. You can really nail it with one or to small variations and just focus on quality. I know a lot of people don't look at it that way but I feel you have a good chance to get a good example. ...
