Cropped

Using the Canon FDn 80-200L/4 I can get to about .7m, but this is closer to 1m away, and the spider isn't very large (1-1.5cm). I liked the web she had set up as it offered a nice lead in and natural framing, and her pose was just great and "inviting". The full size picture has this section for less than the middle 9th, which plenty of foliage taking up the rest of the space. It was very difficult to get this in focus hand held, even at f8 and f11.
