 By: EDJA : May 25th, 2013-12:30
Dear friends, just wanted to share with you my joy. This wednesday I just came back from Geneve Salon on Rue De Rohne and enjoy my new companion 5127R Calatrava. I have been told by Patek Salon Sales that this is the last 5127R produced on PP factory just...

Wow Ed, you made it.

Congratulations! I believe 5127R is much more sensible than 5227R taking into account the price difference. furthermore, for such a simple Calatrava I trust that 37 mm is much better for you than 39 mm. How interesting, you are dreaming about 5131J... Are...

Thank you!

Kari, thank you for kind words! Nothing compared with Geneva Salon - this is the heart of the Patek Philippe world! The walls and the ceilings does remember the all days of 175 year history... And people at Salon are great and very supportive. P.S. Photo ...

Take my advice:

Try to get your 5131 from a Patek Salon. You are already a client and you can be sure that if somebody gets 5131, it will be some major trusted ADs and Patek's own Salons. Trying is costing nothing... Except if it happens like it happened with me - then i...

Thank you Kari for this advice!

My consern is that at the time when my turn will come in the long waiting list, this watch will be out of production and discontinued. So, let say i am number 58, and production will be stoped on number 35 :)

Then it is cheap!

 By: dr.kol : May 25th, 2013-14:53
On the other hand, the next 5131 should be 5131R. Would you have anything against to get the R and not J? I am sure Patek will not throw the people left on the J list to garbage when J is discontinued and R introduced. Finally, it is always possible to sa...

Congratulations !

The 5127R is my favourite Calatrava piece. And to have the knowledge that your was the very last one to be made is, like you say, extra special. :) May, I add that you take a mean photo. :) The 5205R looks great, and I look forward to seeing one, hopefull...

Topcat30093, thank you for your kind words

5127R strap color

 By: carnegie : May 26th, 2013-06:39
Hi Ed, Thanks for excellent photos. I also have lovely 5127R on the original black strap. I want to get a brown strap for it but don't know if I should choose dark or light brown, shiny or matte. Which one is yours? Could you please post some photos of 51...

Hello, I am not able to check my emails until June 2nd. Thank you for your understanding.

Did you happen to come across the 5205

 By: Hamster07 : May 26th, 2013-07:57
with black dial. How does it look? I agree that it would probably be the best seller this year (as I'm planning to get one too) =) Thanks for the great pictures! Francis

I could but i did not see because

Its not my favorite mix of colors and that is why i did not even asked for this model. For me its too shiny and mannered. Rose gold and white face looks much sophisticated and moderately aristocratically. Definitely must see! Best wishes, Ed ...

I've been offered a 5170G but

 By: Hamster07 : May 26th, 2013-11:19
I have yet to decide whether to take it. It just didn't speak to me like 5070. But this 5205R looks really appealing. Can't wait to see it in flesh.

Fantastic...

Hi Ed, that's incredible considering I just collected my 5127R on the Thursday, 16th of May. You'll find my short write-up here I also see you followed suit and went for the RG deployant clasp. Congrats, I'm loving every minute of wearing mine. ...

Thank you mate! the rose gold in this model is terrific

and i am happy that this is 37 mm, not bigger, given my wrist size

5205 - Wish it were a perpetual

If they made a 5207 without the minute repeater or tourbillon, I'd be a buyer. It's an amazingly beautiful timepiece, but the annual calendar complication does not do it for me.

thank you! [nt]

What a beautiful piece, Ed.

I love light colored dials, especially cream colored dials, but this combo looks great. Congrats on getting the last, and most recent assembled piece. Aloha, Bob

Thank you, Bob!

I would also recommend to see 5227 in the flesh as its dial color also awesome! its very creamy and warm, a bit different compared to 5127. New 5227 will be vey popular - the only thing which makes me doubing is its price. But as one of my friend told me ...

Congrats on a timeless beauty!
