Hi Nico, a hybrid watch?

 By: ztirual : October 20th, 2012-12:00
Seamaster dial in Railmaster case? What's the story? It looks like it is a watch that has had a rich life. best Z'

Tssssss, Ztirual!

 By: amanico : October 20th, 2012-12:03
you know the story. One picture to help you to remind it: Got it, now? ;) Best, Nicolas ...

Damn Nico!

 By: ztirual : October 20th, 2012-12:10
I can't believe it, it is the second time that you have conned me with this PAF (participation aux frais)! Very nice catch btw! Best Z'

Participaton aux frais really??? :)))) Thank you, my friend.

 By: amanico : October 20th, 2012-12:11
Will post a review on this watch in December, just the tile for me to end with some more researches... Best, Nicolas

Nicolas, the crown of your PAF

 By: ztirual : October 20th, 2012-12:21
does it have a star logo within the Omega logo? Diificult to see from your picture. I (also?) happen to have 2 of my watches with that feature. I asked in this forum and elsewhere about the meaning/ significance of that detail but the jury is still out. A...

Naiad, yes. It has it.

The little Y in the Omega crown

 By: Franco : October 20th, 2012-15:19
Hello from research done in the italian forum "Orolgi e passioni", that Y symbol has been used by a particular crown manufacturer in the years 1956/1957 to 1959/1960. More than this I have never heard. Another peculiarity of the Naiad is that the very ini...

I agree with Franco

 By: MSNWatch : October 20th, 2012-15:41
A long time ago I was fortunate enough to obtain several 6mm omega NAIAD crowns and initially thought they were wrong as they were smaller than I though was the right size. Good thing I held on to them as I have since found out they are correct for the ea...

Franco, we should play our favourite game, next time we meet.

Side by side pics of these 2 beauties? ;) Best, my friend. Nicolas

Nico, I find ....

 By: Franco : October 21st, 2012-03:00
... that we have many watches in common. I guess it is because your collection is absolutely huge, so the statistical odds for correspondence is very high in one sense ( F to N, not N to F). Next time I'll be in Paris, I'll make sure we plan properly the ...

The graphic is good, not the repartition. :)

 By: amanico : October 21st, 2012-03:08
BUT it will be my pleasure to organize that photo session, Amico. All the best. Nicolas

precious info, thanks Franco

 By: ztirual : October 21st, 2012-12:11
You write: "Another peculiarity of the Naiad is that the very initial 2915 chronograph, 2913 and 2914 instead of the classic 6.7 mm x 3.3 Naiad, used a smaller one (6.0/6.1 x 3.0/3.1 mm) signed Naiad ." If I understand correctly, the Y sign is likely to b...

I don't understand

 By: Franco : October 22nd, 2012-04:27
Perhaps it is easier with an example. Let's say that Omega produced 10 watches of the 2913, 2915, 2914 series each year from 1955 to 1961. Most of these had the smaller crown of the naiad type ( 10 in the first year, 7-8 the last year) Some of these came ...

Thanks, Franco
