I'm into white metal too,

I love the the black dial looks, but I would love to have it in lighter metal which is titanium,

the blue dial isn't bad but I must see it on flesh , I might like it better than black,

platinum, I don't see anything worth to go for it , its heavy ( weight & price ) , also I didn't like the printed of the limited number on the dial.

Poll: Seamaster 300 " Tribute ", 6 versions, which is your favourite?

 By: amanico : June 10th, 2015-00:04
I was quite surprised to learn that there were 6 different Seamaster 300. For me, there were the titanium, the steel, the rose gold / steel, and the rose gold. I learned that 2 rose gold / steel versions existed, one with a black dial, the other with a bl...

...but for me for something supposed to be a tool watch should - amongst the options provided - be steel or titanium. The platinum is very appealing visually but probably not something for the rough and tumble ;) I guess the titanium would be my favourite...

For aesthetics, the platinum, but the titanium is also great. Close call.

For aesthetics and wearability combined, it has to be the titanium for me. I've tried the steel on a couple times and it's too heavy. The platinum has to be worse. I expect the titanium is better. That being said, I don't know if the titanium would be lig...

I like the steel one best [nt]

Nicolas (Or should I say Mr. 100K?), As you already stated the SS version is closer to the original, even considering the fact that with the Master non-magnetic Co Axial movement put it on another league. The only point, on all versions, is the bracelet, ...

Ti / SS - bracelet / strap...

 By: chronos-lorien : June 10th, 2015-05:57
Depends on what are you going to use - bracelet or straps. SS works the best with any kind of straps (color combinations are more flexible with black dial), while Ti is the best choice for wearing one on bracelet.

Steel, definitely.

Steel for me.....

 By: Darren : June 10th, 2015-06:58
in this case the simple one is also the best. Truest to the original, and, in my opinion, looks the best. I could probably be happy with any of them though...... Darren

Steel for me, but on a strap

 By: vitalsigns : June 10th, 2015-09:47
Steel for me, but on a strap. The bracelet is too polished and IMO is not in keeping with the tool watch / vintage look of the piece. In fact, I would prefer if the whole piece was brushed steel. The titanium is nice too, but I find the blue dial and the ...

On the fence between plain steel and titanium, but leaning . . .

. . . titanium today . Ask me tomorrow, and the answer might well be rose gold. :-)

The decision was made for me

I have not bought a watch for a long time and the new Seamaster 300 really appealed to me. A just received the titanium one as a gift and the combination of the blue dial and the light greyish colour is to die for. It is also very, very light compared to ...

just a clarification

 By: Asad A Awan : June 22nd, 2015-01:37
the blue dial two tone version is a very rare combination of titanium and gold, it is not steel and gold as is usual in two tone watches...so that makes it a very interesting and unusual combination...and I do not know of anyone who has seen this version ...

Thanks for the correction and information, Asad. Wow!
