PAM 232 for 2 reasons.

Dec 10, 2007,10:57 AM

First reason, I really love the Cali BUT, I can't accept such a watch being only water resistant to 30 meters, even if I don't dive with it. It is a non sense for me.

Second reason : I already own the 232.

Simple question...which would u rather have a PAM232 or PAM249?

If you had to choose between the 232 or the 249, which one would you choose? And why? (picture by Asi - PAM249 on the left & PAM232 on the right) Cheers, Anthony...

I wish

the 249 had a solid caseback and I wish the 232 had Plexiglas..... In any case, each one is very strong on it's own merits. If I had to choose on aesthetics alone - my choice would be the 232. If the choice is down to uniqueness, the 249 is the winner. It...

I would love to own 232 if...

Not because the 232 is not a good watch, but I'd rather see it with the clear caseback. For the 249, I think Nicolas cover every single point why most of Panerai lovers prefer to own one out of 1936 pieces. I haven't take a photo of my 249, but believe me...

By the way,...

232, no contest

 By: 41northpole : December 13th, 2007-08:04
Why you might ask. I had the chance to get one a while ago from an AD. the one reason I didn't go for it was that it has such a poor depth rating, this from a company that prides itself on its ancestry. It just felt to me that there was too much of a cash...

232 vs. 249

Its a tough call, but I know which kid I'd pick... also about the watch, I lean towards the 232 !

249!

Sexy plexy! Absolutely fantastic, less is more dial. I guess it would partner my incoming baby Rad338 perfectly. Depth rating? I stay at home watching movies when it rains... Best Rob. This message has been edited by peregrino on 2010-05-09 22:27:56

fit and finish of the 249

I had not had a chance to really wear the 249. It certainly looks historic and gorgeous in pictures but a plexi glass? To those who own it, how does it feel on the wrist and when you touch it... does it feel like a 12K USD worth of watch? I certainly hope...

232

249 is great, but too many "hommages" etc. also IHMO, lacks the PAM DNA, thus the 232
